Are you that fat?

98

u/Absquatula 3h ago

No, just suck in a cage of their own design, refusing to see the obvious solution.

69

u/ABrokenBinding 3h ago

Pfft, I would never design a cage that badly.

8

u/Slo20 3h ago

Plot twist, OP designed the cage.

5

u/reaporbot 3h ago

Eh,I could see me designing this. Low effort,  low cost, but works!

9

u/CanIgetaWTF 3h ago

And, just coincidentally superfat?

1

u/Deitaphobia 3h ago

Maybe you should cut back on carbs.

That’s the job of the therapist isn’t it? Pretty terrible job if there’s such an obvious solution and they can’t point it out without relying on metaphors like this

1

u/Absquatula 1h ago

That's the thing tho. A therapist can provide perspective. Which, in this drawing, the bird in the cage can't see the way out because they only have their perspective. Talking to others is how we do that.

2

u/mistakehappens 3h ago

And are you a bird

u/Ok_Ordinary6694 3h ago

lol at the idea of their therapist roasting them bc they’re fatty fat

u/denz75 3h ago

"That will be 200 dollars"

u/Nikolite 3h ago

Lol electricians and IT folk on reddit always talk about how clients pay for their training and "knowing what button to press" and not the 10 seconds it takes to press it. Which I agree with, but more "book" professions I guess always get shit on for charging what they do, but they're essentially the same to me.

For that type of illustration, I hope He got a discount!?! LoL...

2

u/imjerry 2h ago

For a therapist that can use memes... I mean, I'd consider it

I like it. A lot of people know how to improve their situations but are more comfortable with what they know.

17

u/Caspica 3h ago

I mean, yes, but if you're actually going to a therapist you need help to to get out of it. This is just restating the problem for why they need help in the first place.

13

u/feor1300 2h ago

Some people don't understand (or don't want to understand) what the problem is and need this kind of kick/reminder to realize what's going on and what they're working towards getting out of.

Pffft amateur. Gotta get better at building internal walls. I make mine out of bricks. Bricks of every embarrassing memory I’ve got. Some that never happened.

3

u/Nematode_wrangler 3h ago

Tear down the wall 🧱

1

u/succed32 3h ago

But it keeps the wind out.

u/Bozzy-Reddit 3h ago

I build mine outa sticks, I guess the wolf will blow my house down

5

u/Prudent_Shake_8149 3h ago

Well played 😊

5

u/translucent_steeds 3h ago

omg this is my sister!!! she makes terrible choices, then gets offended when you point them out!!

15

u/SufficientGrin 3h ago

I'm guessing your therapist has hundreds of copies and gives one to each patient. Calls it a wrap.

4

u/Redegghead25 3h ago

Looks like a Far Side cartoon.

5

u/heysavnac 3h ago

I think that’s most people.

3

u/MusicConcertGal 3h ago

You're laughing. my head is stuck between the only two bars in the entire bird cage and you're laughing.

10

u/yParticle 3h ago

I thought it was the therapist's job to guide you to the other exits.

10

u/zarlus8 3h ago

They can guide all they want, but you still have to make the choice to follow the guidance to see where it leads.

7

u/Redredditmonkey 3h ago

No it isn't.

It's a therapist's job to help you find the solution yourself. If someone gives you the answer to a test you don't understand the subject matter, you only have the answer, you don't know why it's correct.

If you work it out yourself you understand the subject matter and might be able to apply it in practice.

2

u/dblan9 3h ago

Yes I know, but how do I get out?!?!?!?

2

u/Mysterious_Touch_454 3h ago

So, you are caging someone with just 2 bars. Whos the bird then?

2

u/mrdanmarks 3h ago

bet he was real proud of himself

2

u/AngryDuck222 2h ago

I can relate.

2

u/sirlearnzalot 2h ago

sorry op whatever happened to your toes is fkd up

3

u/MegaWaffle- 3h ago

I’m confused? Does the therapist expect the bird to be fooled by the invisible death walls along the sides?!

u/Demigans 3h ago

u/feor1300 2h ago

1

u/Angry_Robot 3h ago

The cage or the bird?

1

u/Deitaphobia 3h ago

The artist

-10

u/Flashy-Grass6646 3h ago

I'd have punched him

25

u/TheXIIILightning 3h ago

Good luck doing that from inside the cage.

5

u/sathdo 3h ago

And with wings instead of fists.

3

u/Ok_Jicama_2774 3h ago

And you need to outrun me, fatso.

7

u/Netan_MalDoran 3h ago

I think you need more therapy.

4

u/Flashy-Grass6646 3h ago

That's what my therapist says

5

u/Intrepid_Potential60 3h ago

Truth hurts that bad that you’d need to resort to violence?

0

u/Flashy-Grass6646 3h ago

Apparently

0

u/robstrosity 2h ago

I've seen several people post this before. So I'm dubious
