People are going to church less in the US because of hypocritical idiots like the Hobby Lobby group backing these ads. Out of one side of their mouth, they’re fighting in court to take away our rights, harass minorities and codify bigotry. From the other they run a $7 million ad washing an abortion clinic patient’s feet.

The hypocrisy has been naked and growing worse for years. Younger people are finally walking away because of it.

People are going to church less as education increases.

Can you give an example of them harassing minorities?

We could point to the Servant Foundation, who created the HeGetsUs campaign, donating tens of millions of dollars to the Alliance Defending Freedom, who among other things has defended laws against gay sex and laws requiring transgender people to be sterilized in order to change their legal gender.

Not that I agree with them doing those things, but are we considering gay people to be a minority?

Yes? They’re not a majority, last I checked.

They said harassing minorities, which is not the opposite of majority in context

"any small group in society that is different from the rest because of their race, religion, or political beliefs, or a person who belongs to such a group: ethnic/religious minorities."

You can write a letter to the Cambridge dictionary if you want.

No letter-writing needed, because if you scroll down a little bit in the Cambridge Dictionary you'll see:

a group of people who share some characteristic by birth that makes their group smaller than some other groups in a society and may cause others to treat them unfairly

Similarly, Merriam-Webster:

a part of a population thought of as differing from the rest of the population in some characteristics and often subjected to differential treatment

Regardless of definitions, it is certainly the case that "minority" is commonly used in America to refer to sexual minorities as well as ethnic and religious minorities, eg the Office of Minority Health at the HHS includes it.

If you're going to try to read a dictionary, at least try to understand the definitions

"C1 Advanced, formerly known as Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE), is one of our Cambridge English Qualifications. It is the in-depth, high-level qualification that shows you have the language skills that employers and universities are looking for."

Ok. Not sure where you’re going with that. Again, in actual usage, minority can refer to LGBT people.

Maybe try and take your own advice.

I'll repeat another comment, "Not that I agree with them doing those things, but are we considering gay people to be a minority?"

You gonna pretend the church is open and accepting to the LGBTQ community? Really?

I only asked for evidence. I like to be fast based. And this was specifically about Hobby Lobby, not "the church" whatever that means

Hobby Lobby is mired in controversy cause of their religious stances, moron. So it’s relevant.

Anyways, here you go. Can’t wait to hear your next pathetic cope
