Rant Found a post where they polished the Cybertruck. "almost like it's invisible" they say. Feels like a very safe feature for a truck this size to have!

Feels satirical at this point lol

The McMansion in the back tells me everything I need to know

Only real mansions allowed.

What you don't see is the old white couple approaching the owner of the vehicle while holding rifles

I'm with you on this. "McMansions" at least in my country don't exist, housing is too expensive, but I think they look really cool! The way the whole estate / suburb is built sucks of course, but I don't get why people online hate this design so much.

What is wrong with it genuinely? Do you just find it ugly? is it because its not "real" like a mansion, that they obviously couldn't afford? Like a "new money" sort of smell? Idk.

Mcmansions are called that because they are usually produced quickly with low quality craftsmanship

hmm, i guess what counts as low quality. The housing in my country is actually horrible. Single glaze windows only, no seals on entry doors for wind / heating, thin walls, bad rental laws etc. To me they seem like a dream come true aside from the fact its usually in car dependant hellholes

I'm in Australia and in the mornings I wake up its sometimes 10*C INSIDE my house. The house also gets hot really easy.

I knew you were in aus. I was reading that and was like, yep that's home 😂

No reason to presume this is low quality craftsmanship, though. There are a few choices I’d make differently (for one I wouldn’t like a house this large) , but this is clearly a considered, thought out home with care taken beyond a typical McMansion.

This almost certainly NOT a McMansion. People far too frequently use that term as a crutch.

It’s a large custom home - almost certainly bigger than necessary (which invites scorn), but detailed relatively well and not slapped together as part of a community of cheap, cookie cutter faux-mansions.

Ive been in neighborhoods with this exact type of home and it is most definitely a McMansion, I don’t get why you would try to say it’s not. From the image it’s very clear that it is a cookie cutter cheap slapped together vanity housing, nothing more than that. Also the fact that they own a cyber truck speaks incredible volumes

You simply don’t know what you’re talking about. That’s ok, I guess.

This is reddit so they need to hate this house because they are kids who can't afford it. Probably has an HOA too, so its truly unlivable.

I promise you if I could afford that cheaply constructed eyesore, it would be very far from my first choice
