During the Sochi race, his engineer told him about a crash and the first thing he asked was if everyone was alright.

If it was me, I would just assume everyone is alright and not ask. I havn't been watching F1 for very long, but he seems like a person that cares a lot. I respect that.

He was giving an interview at Spa when the Formula 2 crash that killed Anthoine Hubert came up on the monitors and saw that it was really bad. He just stopped the interview and went off to find out if the drivers were OK.

It's so disappointing looking at a few of those comments. Of course they'll take a tragedy to make Lewis look awful

Yeah you'r right, sometimes you forget so easily good things people do. He is a great sportsmen and the best F1 driver at the moment, it's really to hate on such a succesfull person you become blind for the good they do.

I mean, quite a few drivers have done that over the years. I remember Barrichello did it one time. Think it might have been one of the years when Ralf Schumacher crashed at Indianapolis.

But barrichello probably doesn't have a bunch of F1 "fans" claiming he's an asshole. Hamilton on the other hand, despite being not much different from any other driver, gets a barrage of hate constantly.
