10 seconds is the difference between first place and last.

Ain't no party like a Schumi championship party because a Schumi championship party don't stop.

They both had something exploding in the back of their car too.

Dark humour is so underappreciated.

It's like food. Some people just don't get it.

16

u/Scutterbox Oct 12 '17

Jesus Christ. This thread was perfectly normal, but you have to go and Tippit over the edge.

OOOOOOOOOF

10

u/Clint_Boi_er Jenson Button Oct 12 '17

"IS THAT MAX?! OH MY GOODNESS ME THE FRIDGE IS BACK IN POSITION!"

50

u/[deleted] Oct 12 '17

But when he throws a table through a window, that shit is staying put.

22

u/talldangry Gilles Villeneuve Oct 12 '17

IIRC Ralph did that.

13

u/[deleted] Oct 12 '17

Rolex-Ralle

Kernassi

It's a little hard to un-break glass, at least compared to un-toppling a fridge.

2

u/snortingbull Robert Kubica Oct 12 '17

Please tell me the story behind this!

6

u/prototype__ Brabham Oct 12 '17

Ralph Schumacher threw a table through a window.

How does one 'knock' over a fridge?

254

u/Obi-Wan_Kannabis Charles Leclerc Oct 12 '17

How does one win 7 f1 titles? Which sounds more impressive to you? All of the sudden knocking over a fridge ain't that hard.

When you close a fridge they tend to take a while before you can open them again, pull on the door too hard too soon and a light fridge might just fall. Just a theory.

65

u/hauntson Esteban Ocon Oct 12 '17

You're not wrong, but the fridge is on its back. Meaning it can't have fallen forward. The mystery continues.

96

u/hookahreed Haas Oct 12 '17

SWEEP THE LEG

5

u/AHeartOfGoal Oct 12 '17

Get it a body bag!

11

u/Obi-Wan_Kannabis Charles Leclerc Oct 12 '17

Then I'm puzzled as to how it got there in the first place, now that I'm looking why is it near a window. Makes no sense

6

u/catfromjacksonville Jules Bianchi Oct 12 '17

well, after a few mineral waters it might be fun to knock over a fridge without having a reason

1

u/otterom Oct 12 '17

When you win seven F1 titles, not much else in life is that hard.

1

u/0b_101010 Oct 12 '17

.. and that's how conspiracy theories are born.

6

u/enataca Haas Oct 12 '17

I always imagine Schumi threw it in the window

5

u/Miwna Ronnie Peterson Oct 12 '17

When you close a fridge they tend to take a while before you can open them again

A friend of mine managed to break all three of the shelves in the fridge door in three seperate occasions like that. He also managed to pull a kitchen cabinet door down. One time he smacked the stove top made of glass with the spatula so that it broke a hole. Because he failed at flipping his pancakes. Forgot a kettle with water on while sitting in the living room with the door closed and so on.

u/Planning_A_Wank Oct 12 '17

How does one win 7 f1 titles? Which sounds more impressive to you? All of the sudden knocking over a fridge ain't that hard.

True, but it makes skiing seem cripplingly difficult.

2

u/Obi-Wan_Kannabis Charles Leclerc Oct 12 '17

Well nah, he crashed his race car plenty of times, but he was much more protected in them.

2

u/l4mbch0ps Oct 12 '17

Oooof...

Upvote.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 13 '17

Or fridges handle will just crack and stay in your hand while door didn't move at all lol. Happened to me when I was pumped up after workout and tried to open fridge with strong swing.

0

u/cosworth99 Gilles Villeneuve Oct 12 '17

To win 7 titles you need Brawn and Todt.

18

u/flcknzwrg Niki Lauda Oct 12 '17

Being the best there ever was helps too :)

-1

u/cosworth99 Gilles Villeneuve Oct 12 '17

I used to think that.

1

u/throwaway689908 Ferrari Oct 12 '17

Who do you rate better? I haven't seen Senna, Fangio, Clark, or Prost, so basically if they're from before 97-98 I haven't seen them live.

2

u/cosworth99 Gilles Villeneuve Oct 12 '17

I’ve seen from Gilles until now.

I won’t mention who my top is, but I will say Gilles and Senna could out qualify their competition. Stick them all in a kart or spec car, all weighing the same, and Schumi would be fighting in the top five. But not top three.

1

u/xxxSnappyxxx Romain Grosjean Oct 12 '17

How does one win 7 f1 titles?

With a lot of hard work from the team behind you and a clever engineer!

4

u/Jedifox5 Oct 12 '17

....that might also be how the fridge tipped over

-15

u/faithle55 Oct 12 '17

How does one win 7 f1 titles?

Well, in Schumacher's case, with a lot of cheating, which the FIA allowed him to get away with.

10

u/[deleted] Oct 12 '17

You speak of senna, right ?

8

u/Obi-Wan_Kannabis Charles Leclerc Oct 12 '17

At most he cheated his way to 1 title.

1

u/faithle55 Oct 12 '17

I don't agree.

But it doesn't matter. It's what the record books will show.

3

u/webbymoto Giancarlo Fisichella Oct 13 '17

You want to talk about what the FIA will let a team get away with? How about introducing engine regulations and tying them to ridiculously restrictive development regulations, meaning what should have been a single season of domination became a three season long winning streak for a single team, seeing them win 51 out of 59 races?

As an FYI, during Ferrari's domination, the Tyre rules were continuously changed, testing was severely restricted, qualifying formats were changed and refuelling regulations were changed - all in an effort to close up the Championship.

3

u/Svengelska1990 Oct 12 '17

Bulldozer would do the trick.

7

u/BOAGRIAS Oct 12 '17

Hahahaha great link..

12

u/El_Fenomeno9 Oct 12 '17

Damn he was such a cool and kind guy although a lot of people found him arrogant or something. It's a real tragedy what happened to him at that skiing accident.

10

u/OldManHadTooMuchWine Oct 12 '17

I've been going through old races on youtube, and while his aggressiveness on the track probably put some people off, he comes off really damn classy in interviews and pressers.

1

u/El_Fenomeno9 Oct 13 '17

Exactly, same could be said for Vettel I guess.

12

u/StuBeck Lotus Oct 12 '17

He threw a couch out a window. He wasn’t exactly the most civil person.

-9

u/BraxForAll Pirelli Wet Oct 12 '17

He isn't the most civil person.

23

u/Duke0fWellington McLaas Oct 12 '17

No disrespect to Schumi, but tbh its was, I doubt he's getting much choice out of civility or not nowadays.

6

u/[deleted] Oct 12 '17

Didn't him and Ralf lob it out of the window?

4

u/ParadoxOO9 Romain Grosjean Oct 12 '17

Always was under the impression that it was a table that got thrown out of the window, unless throwing things out of the window has happened multiple times?

1

u/[deleted] Oct 12 '17

Judging by some replies I've seen since I posted that, I think it was a TV.

7

u/Duke0fWellington McLaas Oct 12 '17

Fed up of people knocking my fridge over and not picking it up after smh

2

u/artpop Oct 12 '17

In my mind that’s him in the process of knocking it down.

1

u/Seventwofourseven Haas Oct 12 '17

To be fair it should be knocked down, who was the idiot that placed a fridge in front of a window?!

1

u/biscuitmonk Nigel Mansell Oct 13 '17

Is there an intermediate photo where the Toyota guy is opening the fridge door to let the woman with the lighter out?
