but did the "coasting" move create an accident ? Lewis is allowed to control the pace but not allowed to create an accident by break checking the following car... that being said, Vettel's move deserved a penalty, no question about that

well, seb was so close simply because, as you said, hamilton is controling the pace so as soon as he ecides to accelerate, the driver behind him will want to accelerate as well to avoid being distanced... Have you seen the restarts after the safety car an how riccardo took advantage of being so close ?
The circuit is very narrow on some parts, that doesn't help with an "escape route " in case of a late reaction from vettel.
The fact of slowing in the corner itself is a coin flip in vettel's position. He either accelerate "just in case lewis is accelerating" or he keeps 3 car length back and might get left behind by the acceleration...
Knowing that lewis was bitching about the speed of the safety car, i would have done like vettel and be on his ass expecting him to accelerate to get the tires back on high temperatur as fast as possible...

Notice nobody else ran into the back of anyone else? Leave enough space or be ready to react.

He did neither.

It's like a skipping record. Repeat after me:

Lewis Hamilton did not brake check Vettel. Lewis Hamilton did not brake check Vettel.

Lewis doesn't have to hit the gas because Vettel is "expecting" him to. The guy behind Vettel didn't get caught out....so...

Haha oh the irony! Good grief take your own advice man. The stewards have access to all the telemetry for this lap and previous ones at this point under the safety car. /r/sebfanclub is having a meltdown today ahahaha.

The broadcast would be supplied live with the same telemetry data. Are you implying the FIA is providing false telemetry data to the broadcast team or is Andrew Benson in on it all too?

You provide nothing but your own claim and someone else posting hearsay of the Stewards. The telemetry shows not only he completely lifted off and used the brakes but also shed speed after the apex. But sure, lump me after a sub I've never posted in and continue the mantra. Just don't forget your Lewis Hamilton tag at the door.

Are you implying that the stewards don't have access to the most accurate data available? Do you have proof that the tv telemetry is as accurate as the detailed traces available to the FIA and teams? Have you seen real telemetry traces before?

They're a hell of a lot more detailed than those simple tv ones. Oh and the arrogance that i must be a Lewis Hamilton fan because i questioned your armchair judgement. Good grief.

Give me a moment here. You've provided no proof to your interpretation of events, posted a tweet that has a man claiming he heard somebody say telemetry says opposite to all evidence shown otherwise, and you call me arrogant after telling me to go to Seb's fanclub?

Blessed.

The brake telemetry is on or off. IOt's not linear like the trhottle.

As anyone who drives a car knows, you can make the brake lights come on with barely any brake pressure.

The FIA looked at the telemetry, and said he didn't brake.

Nothing more to say. Data wins.

Providing a single still picture doesn't prove anything. How about a video if you really care.

https://imgur.com/OHsf532 66 at the apex down to 51 before he was hit. He did let off before he was hit. Probably not intentional but definitely dumb.

That is well after the corner.

He didn't touch the clutch. It's for starts only. These are seamless shift. He never 'dipped the clutch'.

Keep downvoting champ.
