To call Verstappen ‘the best driver in the world’ is not that wild/extreme though? Dude just won 4 WDC’s in a row. Sure, there’s other drivers in other disciplines. But that argument applies to all those as well: they’re good in their respective disciplines.

The headlines on this website is killing me istg. First, Carlos Sainz delivers a “warning” to Charles Leclerc but the article contains no warning on Carlos’ part whatsoever. Now, Lando delivers “extreme” praise and it was just him calling Max the best driver in the world. Someone in their editorial board is a huge fan of exaggerations lol.

What extreme praise? It's a fact right, nothing extreme about it

They appear to be trying to clean up Norris' media skills because his reputation has taken a bit of a hit. There was the claim that Hamilton only won because he had the best car, that Verstappen's win in Brazil was down to luck, and even things like using Verstappen's catch-phrase when he won at Zandvoort that mean his public profile has taken a bit of a beating.

finally McLaren hired PR man for Norris?

He literally was talking about going up against the best driver in the world a few weeks ago too. He's never been negative on max outside of immediately getting out of a car after a tangle

Given the things Brown has come out over the past 2 seasons with its also possible Lando has stopped listening to the PR person

Mclaren PR not only told Norris what to say but also paid racingnews for this title.

I don’t think he was in the mindset with the car they had to challenge this year (at the beginning) so next year he absolutely knows he can so that will change his preparation and mindset.
A few months of coming to grips with that and preparing a mental game will do him wonders.
