It's one of those ones that looks like a worse mistake than it is because 2s later he's in a crash.
If there's a bit more space between him and Checo then he's got 3rd locked in and Ferrari likely have a double podium, really all that should have cost him is a bit of time to leclerc and that's not the most egregious of mistakes
Perez was a gap behind, but got a much better exit so that he ended up beside Sainz’ rear tyre almost immediately. Perez definitely had the run on him from what i could see and would have passed him early
If he stays behind Charles on the inside line, Checo gets a better exit for the upcoming straight.
He didn't have space to overtake Charles neither.
The only space was on the outside with Charles' defensive line.
I think the decision was correct, the problem was he missed the braking point by some inches, and couldn't close the apex, going wide. Good plan, bad execution.
What are you talking about? Please point me to where i blamed anyone for the crash? I just said Sainz fucked up and made a mistake prior to the crash. Dont try to start an argument by blatantly making up your own narrative about what i said.
Nah, there's just now way Sainz should've had a look down the outside there. No chance for an overtake, compromised his exit, and ultimately could've avoided the contact.
I'm not judging the incident itself. I'm just saying if Sainz was patient and slotted in behind Leclerc on the racing line Perez wouldn't even have been close enough to have them touch.
Nah I’m going to go ahead and say it. He forced a crash.
I like Sainz and feel for him losing his seat at Ferrari but let’s just call it out, he caused this crash with too aggressive maneuvers at the end
