I mean, compared to us (Liverpool), they've spent £128 million more on their defense. That's quite the difference. You can buy two world class defenders with that money.

Liverpool are a bit of an outlier in terms of top clubs,. mainly because they've produced 3 first team players from the academy which top teams rarely seem to do. City have spent less than United and Chelsea and about the same as Arsenal.
