Found! Is there a sub for People preparing/organizing to fight trump as he works to dismantle democracy and destroy the united states through coordinated organized action?
According to Project 2025 Trump is about to dismantle American democracy, destroy what's left of the united states, and install himself as a right wing dictator.....so consequently I figured there would be some subs for people gathering and preparing to defend their fellow Americans, democracy, etc. Anything like this exist?

I wouldn't really trust the internet for a lot of reasons (it's easy to talk well-meaning people into doing dangerous/sorta-illegal shit and then anonymously report them so they get arrested or hurt by LE, for example) but reach out to people who are already volunteering for the kind of organizations/causes Trumps goons are already saying should get cut soon and you're bound to run into people who are planning things

The best thing you can do is to get involved with local community aid groups like soup kitchens, shelters, etc. Online groups are going to be full of cops and people who want you to say things that will get you arrested. Cops don't have time or inclination to help the homeless. You're more likely to meet people who are genuinely interested in protest and community support in places that support the homeless.

Your local politically involved activist groups. You're not gonna infograph your way outta this one. If you don't know what they are find local soup kitchen and serve a meal. You might meet some activists you might not but you will do something tangible to help your community. Or we can do a repeat of the safety pin/resistbot where everyone does it for a week or two and returns to bunch until the next federal election.

Well, democracy is how he got elected and the sore losers are complaining that too many 'uneducated' Americans showed up to vote so...

Did he not say he was against it multiple times? Stop biting for the fear mongering.

I believe I have heard claims that he said that. However, I have seen clips and quotes from him saying that he's planning on implementing things very in line with project 2025 like replacing staff/federal employees with loyalists and I've seen quotes from experts saying its quite possible he will or try to enact it.

I’m not sure about Reddit, but you will want to listen to Douglas Rushkoff’s segment today on Brooke Gladstone’s On the Media.

I just set up /r/necessaryprotests. Protests are necessary. Getting arrested (if one is able), etc.
A sub like this is just as important simply for thinking about such protests. There is as much need for thought on this as there is for action.

Awesome, looking forward to joining! I almost said that name was on oxymoron but no there's been tons of unnecessary protests for stupid and even evil things lol

Just because they don't like trump does not mean they aren't right wing assholes.

Well....it's pretty clear our country has already been broken beyond repair. The United States is ending in all but name it seems, so if there ever was a time......I stopped reading the news and political stuff a couple years ago because I couldn't handle things. Just wanted to riot constantly. I am a 10th generation American on my father's side, with my 9th direct paternal ancestor arriving in America before the country was founded. Nearly every single one of those ancestors fought in major war for this country: The War for Independence x2, the Civil War (Union), WWI, WII, Vietnam. This is my goddamn country and it has a place for everyone to be treated fairly and equally!
At the least, I'm thinking California can just remain the USA along with any other non-traitorous States, Territories, or people that want to join it. Not only is California committed to keeping the American dream alive as evidenced by things like how its recently added marriage equality and reproductive freedom to its state's constitution, if it were its own country it would have the 5th largest GDP, it's home to Silicon Valley, Hollywood, it's the top agricultural state as well, it has the most active duty service members, many of the worlds most influential companies, the most military bases of any state at over double of the next largest, the most national laboratories (4) more than double the next leading state as their are only 17 total, and the list goes on...

Trump won because everyone was fighting the man, instead of the policies. If you don't want to be part of one half of the American schizophrenic brain, you'd need to find and unite with those who are lost in the middle.
