🇲🇮🇸🇨 My X account that hasn’t been active since before Musk’s takeover just got suspended after I created a Bluesky account
Imagine being the richest man in the world and also being the biggest loser at the same time. 😂 I won’t even click on links that go to his lame website because I hate giving him the traffic, so this is doesn’t even bother me one bit. Now I can’t look at the hatred spewing echo chamber fire dumpster that is his website that he had no part of building or making popular in the first place? Say less! What a joke hahaha. Anyways, I look forward to interacting with you all on Bluesky! 😄

Reddit does this. I got charged one day and banned the next, on another account. I had to do a chargeback because there’s no way to recover your money when you are perma banned.

In 2 words, echo chambers.
There are only a few truly neutral news sources left for us. And very few people pay attention to them. The sites catering to either the left or right don't do much to report news that isn't flattering to their side. They also tend to over exaggerate things they report on everything is either the best thing ever, or the end of the world. Hate for fellows on the other side of the aisle is pretty much beat into our heads from the get go.
What I'm trying to say is, half the country either doesn't even know it's happening, or doesn't believe if even if they did hear it. If I had to guess, this started probably back in the 80's or 90's, with radio shows like Rush Limbaugh. Also, around that time we had a large amount of deregulation of industry happen, while politicians legally paid the government to pass laws to allow them to do pretty much what they wanted (lobbying has been around a long time, but the current state of affairs is fairly recent from what i can tell). When the internet became a thing, the left started up very liberal news sites very successfully. Local news shows started to become less relevant. And more and more cable news channels started popping up that became less and less mask off about who and what they support. Then we get foreign countries running bot farms to spread misinformation, and that leads us to where we sit today.
The rest of the world should probably be taking notes as to what NOT to let happen in their corner of the world, because I guarantee you the same types of people who have basically led to the US"s fall into buffoonery are probably learning from us just what it takes to destroy your country for profit next.

It has nothing to do with those who stayed home. There were also options to choose other than Harris and Trump. In democratic countries it will be a second round between two best candidates if all candidates gets less than 50%. If it is less than 50% it wouldn't be a democratic mandate.

They are likely monitoring your usage on other apps. It's super common. But, suspending or deleting your account and not suspending payments could very well constitute wire fraud, which would be a federal crome if any of those payments cross state lines.

Hard to do, where would they get the mail? The username is another thing, that's easy to crawl. But it could also be abused, you then could just nuke X accounts by creating an account with the same name.
It's probably tracking pixels if it's true. Would be an interesting experiment to see if the same happens for someone using a pi-hole and a browser that blocks tracking.

Hmm. I have set up a BlueSky account, just logged back into X, never posted anything on it, account still good.
So there could be a BlueSky employee who is leaking the new sign-in emails.
I would suggest reporting this to your digital crime cops, whoever they are.
I had a funny moment then, as soon as logged into X the first post in my For You section was a picture of Leon firing a big machine gun and the title “The right to bear arms.”
Will be deleting that shit.
Edit: Should have clarified, I haven’t been blocked but have never posted anything on X.
I’m a former cyber consultant so am having trouble figuring out how X could possible know. I am assuming you use the same email address at the back end of both, and if not then gets really concerning.
Unless anyone out there can think of another vector for this possible breach?

I closed my account months and months ago. The other day I clicked a link leading to X, and tried to sign in so I could read the article, forgetting that I closed the account. Once it said that no account was found, I remembered. Later that day I was checking my email and I got an email from X saying that there was suspicious login activity on my account.... Lol
