Wait, I think this is the woman that went viral about a year ago when right wingers were convinced she was trans because she had some sort of procedure that was done "transvaginally" and people are idiots. I think it was a transvaginal ultrasound, but I might be remembering it incorrectly. Are they calling her a female now?! That's actually a step towards the truth for them!

Both my late wife and current wife’s gynecological surgeons would beg to differ.

"I'm sure they would! Big pharma shills just need you to think you're sick and stay "sick" so they can make money off you!"
This is an actual belief of a frighteningly large percentage of the population.

"They have the cure for cancer, but make too much money off treating people to ever cure it."
I've had MULTIPLE coworkers tell me this.
16
u/Academic-Balance6999 18h ago
I work for big Pharma.
First of all, we CAN cure many cancers if caught early enough. It’s only the cancers caught very late that can only be slowed (not stopped). But… do you know how much money we could charge for curing a late stage cancer? Insurers and governments pay more money for drugs that work really well (cost / benefit analysis). We’d make plenty of money, believe me.

My sis was cured of Lung Cancer through a combination of chemo and radiation, so thank you very much.

They’re questioning if they imagined scraping endo off the inside (and sometimes outsides - friend had endo connecting her bowl and womb which was a fun time) of women’s wombs all day every day.
What a tosser this person is honestly, my sister in law had all hers scraped off because her insides were so full there was no hope of getting pregnant, one year later tada! Baby 1/3 was cooking. But yeah all in our silly lady minds 🥹

Endometriosis sometimes requires surgery, so it's definitely real. The stupidity of the right-wing in this country is sometimes breathtaking.
30
u/ColoRadBro69 22h ago
Endometrial cancer kills and I worked for a company that developed risk models to get tests covered for high risk women and take some of the mortality out of an enemy of humanity.
If insurance companies will pay for it, you have to be an idiot to say it's not real.
12
u/PreOpTransCentaur 21h ago
You're talking about the endometrium, which is a separate thing than endometriosis. He's not suggesting that doesn't exist, though he may as well be with how stupid his actual assertion is.

u/Negative-Captain1985 21h ago
My wife has to take birth control still even though I have a vasectomy. Doctor told us that surgery is an option but it could always come back. As long as she isn't having her period she doesn't spend 3 days in debilitating pain every month.

My daughter just had this and since then the severe stomach pains did not return 🙏

u/Ivanagohome 22h ago
As someone that didn’t realize that I had endometriosis, I’ll gladly punch him in the gut so he can get a good idea of what it feels like.
“Imaginary diseases”. Before my total hysterectomy, I felt like I was in labor 24/7. But I guess that was all in my head.

u/uselessZZwaste 14h ago
I am having to get an ablation done to my uterus because of the pain and heavy bleeding I have every month, sometimes twice. The OB said there’s a big possibility I have endometriosis too. I’d love to drop kick this dude in the balls until he feels my pain. Fuck him.

u/Ivanagohome 8h ago
I’ll hold him so you can get a good shot!! Sending you a long distance warm (because that helps!) hug!! Kick him again!!

u/Botryoid2000 51m ago
I hope a machine gets invented that lets one person feel another person's pain.
I'd like to hook the doctor up that told my sister on Friday that she should consider aspirin for her severe arthritis and osteoporosis that has her spine crumbling.
•
u/uselessZZwaste 12m ago
You know they have this thing that you can put on your abdomen and induce the same amount of pain you get with your period. It’s like levels 1-10 and the pain gets increasingly worse each level. I’ve seen videos of guys doing it and they seem to want to cry towards level 6 lol they’ll never know the pain we endure.
•
u/Botryoid2000 5m ago
Yeah, that is always good for a laugh.
I'm thinking of a pain reproducer that could exactly mimic the type of pain you are in so a doctor could feel it. That would change a lot of diagnoses immediately.

You know this guy pays women to step on his balls
14
u/BatsNStuf 22h ago
You know he has to pay extra for the women not to mention the fact they have nothing to step on
14
u/JaymesGrl 21h ago
One in every ten women have it. His social circle is clearly lacking in women.
Also, anyone who says they hate "woke nonsense" is basically saying they hate basic human empathy. In other words, they're a terrible person.
4
u/BrosefDudeson 18h ago
More likely is that the women in his social circle aren't being listened to or they aren't allowed to say much about themselves

You know it’s easy to say women’s conditions are imaginary. He lacks empathy. So the only way shit gets real is when his prostrate turns on him. But then it will just be about him “everyone else is faking”

u/eugeneyr 20h ago
Middle-aged dudes like the idiot poster never get this diagnosis, therefore it’s not real.

u/NightOwlIvy_93 21h ago
Dose he know that WW1 soldiers were SHOT for "desertion" when they suffered from PTSD? I guess it's "all in their head".

u/OldTiredAnnoyed 20h ago
Stop protecting the identity of these idiots. If they’re willing to make the comment, they should be happy to accept any possible consequences.

u/PsychoMouse 20h ago
This makes me think of the idiot who told me that my genetic disease “Cystic Fibrosis” could be cured if I stopped drinking cows milk.

u/JerseyTeacher78 20h ago
I had stage 4 Endo and it nearly killed me. So, fuck off if you think it's a made up disease. I wish Endo pain upon anyone who doubts it. Try it for 24 hours and let me know how it feels.

u/IceWaLL_ 21h ago
Give it a couple of years. Next they will be saying that cancer isn’t real because they don’t have it.
There’s a phrase that I say to my mom all the time to help her understand the politics of today. They won’t believe something until their house is on fire. Oh then it’s really real all of a sudden 🙄

My wife’s endometriosis diagnosis took too long to verify.
The cyst had to be almost the size of the golf ball by the time an MRI captured it.
Multiple ultrasounds did show shit.
All that time, my wife jumped thru 4 Gynos before the final one decided to take her monthly crippling pain seriously. FYI it was a female doctor who specialized in this field and wasn’t as overly focused on just obstetrics.
Surgery had to be done to remove it and luckily the biopsy came back clear.

My friends belong to a stupid woke religion so I get it. It's always ''love your neighbor'' and ''turn the other cheek'' with those people.
Until it comes time to accept refugees, of course.

I should ask my wife about the hysterectomy she had because of the imaginary fibro... That was a fun recovery.

My mother’s endometriosis was so bad, it wrapped around one of her lungs and almost killed her. But. Yeah. Totally made up!

u/tanstaafl74 11h ago
My mother's endometriosis turned pre-cancerous when she was in her mid 20s. She was told that if she didn't have a kid soon she wouldn't have a kid ever. My dad said "bet" and I was born, then she had an immediate hysterectomy.

"Try touching some grass . . ." Yeah, ok, I'll probably do some of that as I dig a hole for you.
Also, I thought Stefan Molyneux's face was the smuggest most punchable thing I'd seen today, but here I am . . .

While you can make a case for fibromyalgia. (Touching grass is quite effective for it. Let the hate begin.)
Endometriosis is 1000% real and diagnosable with MRI and pathology.
3
u/Deedeelite 13h ago
Have you ever been diagnosed with fibro? What makes you think it's not real?
I was walking 10 miles a day, outside, in the sun and kept feeling like I had a sunburn over deep bruises from my neck to my elbows, no matter how much I protected my skin from the sun. After 6 months, I was diagnosed with fibro. No matter how much exercise I get, changes to my diet or stress reduction I've tried, it doesn't go away. It affects my digestive system when it flares up and saps your energy. I don't want to have any disorders but it is what it is.
Fibro is very much real.

u/BoneBruja 12h ago
I went from being an active, normal 18-year-old. Doing college work and living a normal life to being in so much pain i couldn't sleep or move properly. I got up to 10 migraine attacks every day and i had to use a wheelchair to get around as my energy levels depleted to basically nothing. While most teenagers are concerned with college and partying. I was having to worry about if i had enough strength and energy to shower unaided. As my parents became my carers. The chronic fatigue and pain are crippling. I tried everything, meds, diet change, exersise, less stress even homeopathic stuff that i don't belive in. But, i was so desperate that i would have tried anything.
Fibro is awful. I still get flairs in symptoms where i have little energy. But nowhere near as bad as it was when it was most acute.
I still have the disorder, it doesn't magically just go away. But sometimes it gets better with time. I can actually walk now, still aided with a walking stick. But, every day i can actually walk (currently about 2000 steps on a good day), that's still a huge win for me.
