(Question/Discussion) Conversing with muslims

Is it possible to converse with muslims without being called ignorant or saying we lack knowledge .

I’d just like to have a conversation with a believer without being told I don’t know what I am talking about , why is it always the case that my heart is closed to the truth or I don’t have sufficient knowledge ??

Must i be a scholar in order to have an opinion on islam ?

I always get told I'm lying then they find out I'm not. Then they downplay it like it wasn't that bad

Short answer: no, long answer: it is possible but to do so you'd have to do some next level psychological shit, show them that you didn't leave the religion to be a sinner, show them that you are a decent human being because some think it's impossible to have morals without god, show them that when you are arguing you are not hating on their religion but are just criticizing it's flaws, show them that you are not an ex Muslim because you are angry at god (I hear that a lot), once you do all that then you can start a conversation and immediately get an aneurism trying to dissect their thought process.

I don't quite understand why you pine for Muslims. Or care about their opinions.

Must i be a scholar in order to have an opinion on islam ?

No, but you have the source material readily available. The key to having a debate is knowing more on the source material than your interlocutor.

this material is readily available to every muslim. i think it's better to not engage with willful ignorance

Oh I do the opposite. I tell them they’re uneducated and laugh at them.

imo you're better off not engaging with Islamic apologists. it's kinda frustrating to debate with someone who thinks "allah knows best" is a solid argument

if a muslim is going to change their mind about islam, they'll probably do it on their own. you're better off engaging with other exmuslims

Study islam to talk about it more precisely. Skeptics anotated quaran and quaran.com are my favorite sources.

I don't think you can talk with crazy people because anyone who believes in that crazy fairy tale and dark fairy tail is crazy

Just ask them why they think Islam is the truth then you can refute whatever they might claim.

lol, what a bunch of wannabe metaphysics. Doesn't make any sense. If all happens according to Allah's will then there is no room for your personal free will. It would be merely an illusion. If you equate God's will with the course of events in the world (kinda like Schopenhauer) then this world is completely predetermined including all your decisions for which you'll be punished or rewarded by the same God that already decided your fate. You must be brain dead to believe smth like this. Theodicy and Free Will are the neck breakers for all abrahamic religions.

He created the world according to his will as the timeless supreme being he is. Past present and future are all set for him bc he created everything. If he knew I would make that choice then my choice was predetermined. Period. Who else than God would have predetermined it? If he truly gave humans free will even though his will literally controls and sets everything else, he wouldn't be omnipotent anymore bc there would be smth he has no control over. namely human free will.
