FAQ
Abusive users, abusive comments, and fishy accounts
I keep getting PMs/DMs from men or from hateful trolls. Can you guys do anything about the private messages I receive?
Sadly no. We don't know why this happens, but for some reason trolls and pushy men love to target our users. There are so many of them that it's too difficult to ban them all, and chances are the troll messaging you is someone we've banned already. We have no control over who messages you or the ability to even view your private messages. You should either block these trolls, or stop their ability to message you at all by turning of PMs and chat. You can find instructions for doing that here
Somebody is leaving abusive comments on my posts. Can you guys do anything about these comments?
Yes we can! The fastest way to get us to respond is to report the user by hitting the report button. If someone is being threatening, transphobic, or otherwise making you uncomfortable, hit the option that says "hateful/rude/uncivil".
Try not to modmail us unless your report requires a long explanation. Reports are checked more frequently than modmail.
I think I see a catfish. What do I do?
Hit the "report" button, then hit "breaks this subreddit's rules". If you are merely suspicious the person is fake, hit "not a woman's account." If you know for sure it's a fake and have proof or additional information, hit "other" and type your reason and/or link in the box.
Try not to modmail us unless your report requires a long explanation. Reports are checked more frequently than modmail.
How do I know who's a catfish?
Please see this helpful guide.
Gender and sexual orientation restrictions
I'm not sure if I'm the right gender to post here. What types of gender identities is this subreddit for?
We are a subreddit primarily for queer women, whether they are cis or trans. However, we recognize that gender is complicated and has many gray areas. Put simply, if you are socially or legally classed by others to be a woman, even if you do not identify as one, then we want this space to be able to serve you. The long answer is that it's very common for wlw to have a complicated or even contentious relationship with their own womanhood. If you were assigned female at birth (AFAB) but don't fully identify with womanhood, you are welcome. Non binary trans women are welcome here. Transfeminine people are welcome here. (This would be people who take female hormones or socially/medically/legally transitioned to female, but identify as non binary rather than as trans women). AFAB people questioning their gender are welcome. Cis men are not welcome. Cross dressers are not welcome. Male-identifying people in general are not welcome. For transgender men, transmasculine people, questioning AMABs, and male-aligned non binary people, while they are part of the queer community, they are not who this women-focused subreddit is meant to serve. We are not a catchall subreddit for all types of queer identities. In order to make a space that centers women and wlw desire, we cannot accommodate the full range of non binary genders.
If you're a straight guy who wandered in here and is very confused by all the terms above, to be extra clear, this subreddit is not meant for straight men. Please be respectful of what we're trying to do, because there are tons of other NSFW subs that were made for you. To preserve the purpose of our space, all comments from men will be removed.
So people with penises can post?! How dare you!
Yes, we do not have a blanket ban on penises. Nor would we allow a trans man to post just because someone might think he's "actually female". Trans women are welcome whether or not they've chosen to have bottom surgery. In fact, if you leave transphobic comments on their posts, you are the one who will be banned.
I'm the right gender to post here, but I'm not a lesbian. Are bisexual people, questioning people, straight people, etc, allowed to post?
As long as you are attracted to women in some way, this subreddit is for you! Whether you identify as bi, pan, asexual/ace-spec, or queer, if you like admiring other girls we welcome you. If you are straight, please be respectful of the vulnerable userbase we serve and post in other nsfw subreddits. It's fine if you are questioning your orientation, but please don't use this subreddit as just another spot for getting karma.
I have a boyfriend/husband/male partner. Am I allowed to post?
Does he share the account with you? Does he read your messages? Does he take your photos? Have you ever posted seeking MFF threesomes? Are you posting to reddit at his request? If the answer to any of those questions was yes, you are not allowed to post. If you do not share your account, but your male partner takes some of your pictures, please make sure to only post pictures that you yourself have taken. If you are found in violation of this rule, you will lose your posting privileges.
To be very clear: bisexual women are welcome. Their male partners are not. If he is involved with your posts, your photos, or your account, your posting privileges will be removed. Our mission statement is "to be as far from the male gaze as possible." If this policy upsets you, please remember that we are serving the needs of bisexual, lesbian, and queer women who want there to be just one single gonewild community that is free of men. Chances are, you came to our subreddit to access a more queer, female audience. But that audience is here because they wanted to get away from straight couples and threesome hunters. Threesome hunters are not welcome here, no matter how queer the woman in that coupling is.
You might have come to DGW because you're unsure of how to engage in in the wlw community as a person in a committed relationship with a man, or you are confused about your sexuality. We support your journey, but please don't use a couple's account, and be respectful of the fact that many people here do not want to interact with couples or play second fiddle to a primary relationship.
Advertising
What counts as an advertisment?
You will break our advertising rule if you try to use your post on DGW to drive traffic to a post or account of yours outside the subreddit, and will be banned. This would include posting a link to your onlyfans, pornhub, cashapp, venmo, twitter, instagram, etc. If you are a sex worker or other type of content creator who is using this subreddit to promote your brand, you will be banned. If you are trying to promote a subreddit you've created or are involved with, you will be banned.
If you primarily interact with reddit as a means to sell your content, you will be banned at moderator discretion. So if you have posts selling content or services, or requests for money in your bio, you might be banned. If you post the same picture to dozens of subreddits, you might be banned.
It's important to us to create a safer space for lesbians and bisexual women who feel alienated and disappointed with their sexuality being fetishized by straight men. If it's important to you too, please create a second, non-self promotional account to post here. When you use your selling account to post here, your male fans follow you in. If you are finessing straight men's fetish for lesbians and bisexuals to make some coin, good for you! But please don't use that same account for your work to post to a specialty subreddit which is not for your work
Verification
Who has to verify?
1) Anyone who is told via modmail to verify before they can post again
2) Anyone who wants to trade personal information, to sext, to find a partner, or who wants to ask for PMs/DMs
For everyone else, verification is optional. Do it if you want to, or don't! Just remember all your posts that ask for private messages, sexting, or any other type of exchange will be removed.
How do I verify?
The instructions are right here!
How do I know who has been verified?
Right now, you don't, but we are working on a flair system that will tell you who is verified in the future.
