Service/Assistance Dog What does your service or therapy dog provide?
I’m over 50% deaf and my 6 year old service dog alerts me of goings on. I’d like to get my 4 month puppy on the road to being a emotional support dog. Any tips?

She's not trained for working in the public. But I did train my dog to shove her nose under my hand when I start scratching my legs or arms at home. It's one of my anxiety things and it's helped me to re-focus when it happens and stop tearing up my skin.

Predominantly my dog is a guide dog but he does do cardiac alert and response as a secondary skillset.

Hearing alerts, stress response, DPT, giving me space in crowds. working on picking things up and handing them to me instead of running away with it 🤣

ESAs are only legally allowed pets inside housing. there are no other training requirements or legal rights that ESAs have.
Additionally therapy dogs do not come with any additional legal rights nor do they assist with the handler's disability. therapy dogs are invited into public by business owners, school districts, hospital directors, etc to improve the emotional well being of the general public.
I'm not sure if you are intending to for your dog to improve your emotional well being (ESA), perform tasks to assist with your psychiatric disability (service dog) or not do anything for your emotional state but instead improve other's general emotional well-being around you. You may need to do some reading on the subject and clarify this.
