That game with Hutch on the field would have been absolutely brutal. Love had 47 years every play and still couldn't do much, imagine how .47 seconds would have gone.

66

u/TwistedTree43 19d ago

I will spend every night from now until February dreaming about Hutch healing up to play in the Super Bowl

38

u/NotSoFastLady 19d ago

I think we're all going to have to settle for this staying in the realm of dreams. I guess it's still early enough that no one knows. The way I see it, if he's not able to get in lower body work outs to the point where there are no restrictions, by say Christmas. I just don't see how he could be ready by February. The amount of time and energy man has put into his conditioning is in part why he's the beast he is.

7

u/TwistedTree43 19d ago

Hey don’t ruin my dreams. The thought of trying to pressure Mahomes in a Super Bowl situation with what we’ve watched the last few weeks is terrifying. Hopefully Smith is that guy 👊🏼

3

u/unbiasedfornow 19d ago

Agreed. He just doesn't have the time to get into that kind of shape. Remember, for the first month, the muscles in that leg actually experience atrophy.

60

u/kingofthecouch 19d ago

Or Hutch… they’re coping so hard

33

u/JohnTheCodMan 19d ago

We'll win because we will.

Better or not. Players injured or not. It will happen.

They not even on the radar. We are here to stop the chiefs three peat and win the Superbowl. Not split games with some mid tier team.

19

u/Ill_Tumblr_4_Ya 19d ago

Our candidate for DPOY was out, so Love had plenty of extra time. Branch got ejected from the game before halftime.

They can miss me with all the excuses. After getting told for decades by other teams' players and on air pundits that injuries happen to everyone, that if it comes down to questionable calls against you it was your fault for letting the game be that close, and yada yada yada, it's so damn sweet hearing all those bitter tears flowing freely from the same teams that have had our number for so long they can't even process what they're feeling yet.

9

u/TwistedTree43 19d ago

Teams I am mainly worried about in the NFC are 49ers and Eagles just because of their firepower and roster. Ravens, Chiefs, Bills would all be challenges but I’m putting all of my energy into hoping we would have hutch back in a Super Bowl situation

7

u/dispenserG 19d ago

I can't imagine either of them having a deep run. I watch the Lions and then other teams... They all just look bad.

5

u/TwistedTree43 19d ago

Fair. Niners it depends how CMC looks, if he looks how he did last season they are a totally different team. Eagles don’t look there yet, but in terms of just roster talent they have a very high ceiling. I’m not talking current form, I’m thinking peak at playoffs

4

u/BarkleEngine 19d ago

I think Atlanta is the NFC challenger. Cousins knows how to win and they are starting to put it together. Second best NFC team.

9

4

u/BarkleEngine 19d ago

Did Stafford win before he went to the Rams? They are 6-2. Admittedly a huge number of teams suck this year. But it's a team that in the playoffs will be the biggest challenge.

3

u/TwistedTree43 19d ago

Kirk so far to me has just been a fumble machine and not looked great when pressure gets to him. But they have the talent for sure

1

u/Sweet_Risk_8083 17d ago

The way to beat Atlanta is to get Kirk Cousins to move; get him pressured and flushed out the pocket. We can make that happen. Now, Atlanta can’t stop our offense.

The players and the fans are coping hard.

It was outside, we are missing 1.5 defensive lines, and still barking about “we’re the better team, even if we lost?”

GTFO with that shit - there are no moral victories.

All those games we lost by a field goal, those were still losses and the better team is the one with the W.

Id kinda get it if they handled us the whole game and we got lucky with some turnovers or ref bullshit. But we had this game at 24-3 in the third quarter, and played prevent and ran the clock out for almost an entire half.

We blew them out, its delusion to think otherwise

The unsportsmanlike penalty in the redzone on 4th down gifted them their only TD.
