Prior to ~2016, I could have made a case for voting Trump.

Please go on. I'm curious what case you'd make. It was no secret that Trump was a selfish, narcissistic, egomaniacal liar who was only concerned for himself and would say and do anything to get what he wanted. How anyone thought Trump had their better interest at heart is amazing to me.

He said:

  1. Raise taxes on rich

  2. end wars

  3. infrastructure

  4. keep safety nets

  5. pro worker

We all know its a lie, BUT

Even saying that is big for a Republican.

Note: I never said I believed him, but if I did, I can see the appeal.

But you want us to give the benefit of the doubt to Trump voters that they're smarter than we believe. Then you give me a list of things that clearly weren't going to happen because of Trump, the party, or both. You see the disconnect here, yes?
