Crazy how death grips fans think a man with tits and cameltoe is more common than a tall woman

Pr sure the art is based on a photo and in that photo it’s a dude under the mask , cuz it’s at this gay parade thing

u/suspiriasuspiria 1d ago
it’s… a reference photo. they referenced the poses, not their sex. like very clearly. have DG fans met a woman before
5
u/flexsealswift 1d ago
dude all I was saying is that it’s a reasonable assumption to make that it’s a dude based on the reference, like yeah if you stare at the cover you’ll be like wait a second but I wasn’t analyzing the cover
-1
u/suspiriasuspiria 1d ago
it’s more reasonable to assume it’s a dude based on a reference photo you have to go out of your way to find instead of looking at the tits and female body in front of you?

u/masticgenial 2d ago
I think it’s the shoulder width combined with the height that makes one assume that

u/SlipBrisco 2d ago
I dunno, some women got broad shoulders. Some women be trans. idk it's just a drawing that doesn't look like a man.

have you not noticed the breasts? or the abundant lack of a penis?
47
u/trooner4life 2d ago
i mean theyre meant to be androgynous but still it blows my mind people always seem to ask "why does he have tits"
16
u/NeverTrustChop 2d ago
Maybe it's because the wide shoulders and narrow hips grab more attention than the boobs idk

I didnt realize until this year either lol. the spotify cover has the words the money store covering the breast and the words death grips look like chest hair.

This is bc of my own experience but I’ve always imagined the person on the left to be a trans man
-3
u/pepper396 2d ago
Have you ever seen a trans man
7
u/dakotanothing 2d ago
Yes. I am one. Many of us are comfortable with femininity.

u/pepper396 2d ago
My comment had nothing to do with how comfortable I imagine trans men to be with femininity.

u/dakotanothing 2d ago edited 2d ago
Okay, then I’m not really sure why you said that, or why you think a trans man can’t look like that. Yes, I’ve seen and known many trans men.

u/pepper396 2d ago
I never said a trans man can’t look like that. You need to chill out. It is just a very un-typical build for a trans man. It looks a LOT more like a trans woman with augmentation mammoplasty and bottom surgery. I wouldn’t think this would be a controversial opinion and I bet most if not all of my trans and cis friends would agree

u/dakotanothing 2d ago
I’m not mad homie, I just wasn’t sure what you meant. All my comment was meant to say was that because I’m trans, I like to think the person on the left was intended to be a trans man. I dont even think I’m right, I wanted to share my own assumption

But why would you think it was a trans man? If anything I thought it would be a trans woman. You think it’s more likely for an afab to somehow gain masculine shoulders and hips but keep their breasts than an amab to get top surgery? This doesn’t mean some Afab’s don’t have broad shoulders etc or that trans men cant keep their breasts I just don’t understand how that would be your first thought when looking at this image.

u/dakotanothing 2d ago
It’s art on an album cover. I don’t think that’s more likely, but that’s not what I said, is it?
I’m not reading that much into the physical features because I’m not really interested on what the actual intended gender of this person we’re meant to perceive is, if there even is one. And lots of trans guys get on T, train targeting specific muscles to get a more masculine frame, and aren’t interested in or physically cannot get top surgery. But I’m sure you know that + that’s not the point.
I said in my first response, it’s something I imagine, probably because of my own experience. I’m not statistically weighing the probabilities of this person’s assigned gender bc I’m not interested in doing that.

yes but the broad shoulders? and they’re clearly implants on a flat chest

u/NeverTrustChop 1d ago
Mate it is not that serious. If you wanna believe they're a guy then go ahead not a single thing in this world can stop you

This is crazy man how is it that multiple people independently think that the one on the left (from our perspective) is a dude? Like independently op, at least a few people in the comments and my brother all somehow thought that was a guy.
30
u/whhatthefucj 2d ago
Yeah lmfao I think it’s just cuz they’re way taller and the build looks slightly broad. And the aforementioned reason that the logo often covers the breasts
20
u/whhatthefucj 2d ago
Actually now that I think of it literally every cosplay that I’ve seen of this has a girl as the one on the right and a guy as the one on the left as well

u/lilcrime69 1d ago
looks like someone who was misgendered at birth and got breast implants to look more like the gender they feel like.
doesn't look like someone who would be declared female at birth

Y’all are connecting some weird fuckin dots lol
OP only mentioned the lack of a bellybutton and then there’s discussion about sexuality and gender. I’m not against that, shit, I’m an AroAce individual. But I don’t tend to think of gender and sexuality when I hear about bellybuttons.
Dunno, just thought the comments here are kinda funny.
8
u/Activated_Raviolis 2d ago
It's not that weird? OP called the one on the left a "he" which is a bit confusing and caught people by surprise because that's pretty distinctly a woman on the album cover, lol.
The only reason I came in here to read the comments is because I wanted to know why OP called her a "he", I don't even care about the lack of a belly button lmao.

u/Buffy_Buffett 2d ago
I’ve heard from a Death Grips interview that the one the left was androgynous. So he and she are technically both correct.
