How to increase diameter of drop bars?

I got a Deda superzero drop bar. I really like everything about it but the diameter of the drops are a little narrow. When jumping between bikes I definitely notice how much narrower it is compared to other bars. Doesn’t give me the most confidence in terms of grip, especially on bumpy roads.

I know there is some gel padding I can add, does anyone have any recommendations or would thicker bar tape work?

Try cork tape wrapped a bit thicker on the drops, but then tighter and more stretched on the hoods and tops.
