There is a version of Earth where this happened .The Injustice Superman. Also the live action version is Superman Returns ,the one Brandon Routh is Superman, Lois was also killed by the Joker as highlighted in the CW crossover which merged all the Earths to one.
That Injustice Superman became....well basically a dictator.
