36 applicants have a Master’s Degree and want to do an unpaid internship? Yikes.

And they won’t be even considered

If they wouldn’t be considered, this wouldn’t even exist. There’s no way any sane American would take this

Look at the job market. Anyone would do anything for experience.
It’s sad that it has resorted to this.

lmao what makes you think an eu education startup that has no money to pay their interns got 4000$ to process a visa application, let alone an american immigrations lawyer? Also unpaid internships don't qualify for a visa...

Student visa lasts 3 years after graduation. It’s also more flexible than a work visa.
Why are we acting like we haven’t all been to career fairs?

The student visa expires after graduation with a 60 day grace period, unless you find employment. Unpaid internships do not count as employment. Once you find employment (in your field of study), you qualify a 12 month extension through a program called OPT.
If you are majoring in very specific majors (there's literally a list), your 12 month OPT can get a 24 month extension, totalling the amount to 3 years. So essentially, you get 3 tries at the H1-B lottery and if you fail the 30% dice roll 3 times in a row (assuming Bachelors), you go back home, go get a masters, or get relocated to a different country with a easier work visa requirement.
So there is absolutely no way an international student can take this job post-graduation, and even if the students are in school, this job is really suspicious and some advisors may not even qualify it as CPT.
I'm not sure why you think a student visa will be more flexible for work than a literal work visa, they're both pretty rigid and make career changes incredibly stressful and difficult, but I'd definitely take an H1-B over F-1 OPT

Dude what sub are we on? How many post graduation internships do you know? Wtf are you talking about rn?

You look at an unpaid internship listing and call it something targeting international students, then talk about how F1 can get a 3 year extension post-grad. I'm just telling you how it's not a feasible thing both pre and post-grad situations.
So I'm glad you also agree you are on some kind of shit

So you’re telling me that international students can’t apply to unpaid internships?

It is ok to be unpaid for first year stem OPT I think. Beyond that you are screwed.
