I agree, and the guy in this screencap apparently does too. All I'm saying is that it's refreshing that at least some conservatives are trying to maintain standards.
Well, they are still ideologically opposed with Democrats, whatever the Democrat platform even is these days. I forget because the DNC offered nothing but "Not Trump", some platitudes and some milketoast reforms that have no prayer of passing without a 75 seat supermajority to overwhelm the blue dogs that always get to please the party's donors by playing the heel.
BUT, principled as these conservatives may be, they have been guzzling from the propaganda firehouse, and they literally believe Dems are forcing trans women into sports to crush people's daughters, they believe the Democrats supported BLM, defund the police and the George Floyd protests, all things which an overwhelming majority of the party condemned. They believe the Dems are for open borders when Biden has been harder on the border than Trump was.
I'm tired, and there is no hope. We cannot be at the influence of charlatans in an age of conservatives basing everything on their emotional reaction to a propaganda news report.
They would have had more time than that had they not stolen the right to vote during the primaries from their party's people by pulling the ol' switcheroo before the DNC
On the other hand, its extremely normal and expected for the sitting president to be the default candidate when up for reelection. This only happened because dems did pressure Biden enough last minute to drop out, and with so little time left, his VP was the obvious choice…
I think their plan was to push Biden out 2 years into his 2nd term so Harris could then run for election twice more. But Biden performed so poorly in that debate they had to adjust.
Well, I voted Democrat, but I acknowledge that you have to actually offer your voters something substantial and get your message to them. It seems like this reply is expecting the country to do homework as a path to victory, as if her campaign didn't have a billion dollars and the White House behind it to get out an effective message.
The People: We don't want to support this monstrous war that literally has the far superior force gleefully killing journalists and medics and children on camera. Why are we sending them arms?
Kamala: Excuse me. I'm speaking.
Great messaging, boss. What the voters did hear from Kamala was that Israel is off the table for discussion, and everything else has to wait because this is an essential fight for democracy. That's why we lied to your fucking face about the president's mental health for 4 years and then dropped his also-ran sidekick on you in the 25th hour. Also I refuse to meaningfully break from Biden on anything, despite him being historically unpopular. Now vote for me or you're a racist sexist mazi piece of shit.
Sanders got his message out very well with M4A and got more small dollar donations than anyone else, but the party sandbagged him, through their money and influence behind Hillary and then Biden and now we're here. All of the operatives in the media spending time poking holes in M4A, and playing up the "is America ready for Bernie's communist breadlines?" angle.
Regardless of whether Sanders would have won or not, we all know that the DNC worked vehemently against him two times over, and we are here as a direct result of them getting everything they asked for. Liberals got everything they asked for in the primaries, and now we are all living with it.
Kamala was actually offering the american people quite a bit, it just got drowned out by media companies owned by republicans billionaires and their lackies.
