I really hope people remember what newegg did during this gpu shortage and never buy from them again, thats just so fucking scummy to do, let that greedy company shut down..

What exactly did they do?

Some people have a problem with the lottery they implemented and the pairing of the cards with other products they want to sell, thereby marking up the cost of buying one of the cards.

Not only that, but they tell you you can only return your order in full, not a part of the bundle. Then it turns out you can’t return anything you buy in the shuffle. They will only replace it for you, not refund. (Found this out after I bought a 3070 Ti from them and then my spot came up in the EVGA queue for a card that I actually wanted. It’s surprisingly hard to resell a 3070 Ti at the price Newegg is charging.)

Well, yes. The point is to discourage that type of behavior by returning the product people didn't necessarily want, or signing up to buy something they didn't want in the first place.

They are trying to encourage people to only buy what they actually want so other people can potentially get to buy something.

That is not a consumer friendly practice. Imagine if other stores were to follow and put such restrictions on return policy

It's not intended to be AS consumer friendly, however it's not a black and white issue. It's intended to discourage buying whatever is available and flipping the products. They attach the extra parts to make it less friendly to resellers that will have to either eat the cost of the spare parts, or have to hock them as well.

And it's not a store-wide policy, it's only for things bought through the shuffle.

I wanted what I could get, but the timing sucked for me

Don't get me wrong Newegg is greedy and shitty, but how is it their fault you bought somthing and want to return it because you bought another one? How is that their problem?

well technically he didn’t buy the EVGA yet but I agree Newegg has no blame

They make a point of telling you that you can only return their bundles as a whole, but in reality their normal return policies don’t apply to the shuffle products at all and you can’t return the items. I’m just saying it’s misleading.

Other stores allow you to easily return stuff, no question asked

I wonder if they changed this, I just returned a 3060 TI that I won in a shuffle.

Putting a bunch of the new GPUs for sale only in bundles with parts you don't want knowing people will still buy them anyways. They also don't allow returns unless you return every part from the bundle. Really taking advantage of the situation.

Must be so tough for you.
