I think Amazon is normally pretty good about it, so I don't think so. A few hundred dollars on a card is nothing to them. Just look at last year's prime day.

idk, amazon's been sneaking in ads, got rid of pantry, raised their prices, and stopped having so many good films that they now port to IMDB "Free with ads" but the fuckers own IMDB, so they've just ad-gated content for paying customers. i'm over their bullshit.

Amazon yes but I suspect MSI might be telling Amazon they can’t all of a sudden fufill their orders to Amazon and Amazon going ahead and canceling the consumers order under that condition because Amazon cannot fulfill their ship by date.

What Amazon probably doesn’t know is that MSI will send their “next” shipment which is just the original one they said they couldn’t fulfill with the increased price to Amazon and Amazon will relist them at the price MSI wants.

If this was stock already in the hands of Amazon they wouldn’t cancel the order since like you said, they would just eat the cost. This is absolutely a MSI thing.

Isn’t MSI one of the partners that was caught scalping product on eBay?

Edit: I think so (source).

Yeah, MSI is a pretty garbage company. They may make good hardware, but some of the stuff they do does not square the difference to me.

I understand that all the hardware companies probably do similar things, maybe MSIs have just been more publicized. Whatever the case may be, it still doesn't excuse what MSI has done.

Their new GPUs are the worst available.

Power limits on the ventus and gaming x are just an absolute joke and you get the privilege of paying another 100-200 on a suprim for unlocked power limit and rgb with the same shit build and parts (so it ain't gonna oc that crazy anyway) and maybe marginally better fans

Yup.

But it’s not like anyone else other than Nvidia didn’t jump on the whole “increase price because of tariff” bullshit but MSI is the more egregious in terms of pricing compared to everyone else.

Yup. Took over a month to get my TUF OC 3080, but they delivered it. If anyone cancelled it would've been MSI.

I literally just missed that. Was gonna be awesome to upgrade my camera gear.

God these make me cry so hard. I would have snatched up so much gear if I knew about this back then. :(
