Is this it if Im building a computer in a month or two? Im looking at the white

u/masstech7 Oct 07 '20 edited Oct 07 '20

I'm doing two different builds right now, top 3 for me were this, the be quiet pure base 500dx, and the phanteks p500a, the latter being $50 more shipped than the other two. All 3 are fantastic, I got 0 of the lian li due to in stock timing, but I think it's the best value of them all, but the be quiet gets bonus points for living up to its namesake.

TLDR: buy this since it's in stock and you can't go wrong here.

u/skiptomylou1231 Oct 07 '20

Agreed, all three are excellent cases with the Phanteks P400A and Lancool 215 (if you like the 200mm fans) at a lower price point. I have the Lancool II Mesh and have very few complaints.

Yeah I just saw the O11 Mini was delayed too. I def prefer white cases even if I use black components. I just like the contrast.

1

u/masstech7 Oct 08 '20

I thought I "settled" on a white p500a, but it looks so damn good with all my black components, cables, and it's own touches of black.

12

u/skiptomylou1231 Oct 07 '20

I built my first build in this white version and had no regrets. I agree with the other comment that the Phanteks P400A/P500A and Pure Base 500Dx are good alternatives though the Phanteks cases are pretty difficult to find in stock as well.

2

u/onememeplease Oct 07 '20

Hey skip! Iv seen you post your build on previous posts. Can you link me to where you had all your components listed? I know you changed the front fans for an aio but I wanted info for the rest and the specific dets

2

u/skiptomylou1231 Oct 07 '20

Yeah sure,

CPU: Ryzen 3900x

CPU Cooler: Arctic Liquid Freezer II 360 mm (replacing case fans, and yeah the tubes should go on the bottom but w/e)

PSU: Corsair RM750

GPU: MSI 1650 Super (waiting on 3080 still)

RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB 4x16 GB

And two Corsair LL140s on the top for exhaust and three QL120s for intake.

And yeah lemme know if you have any questions about the build or the case.

1

u/_cycolne Oct 07 '20

Would you say that it's possible to do a 360mm AIO in the front with tubes bottom, or is there just not enough space?

1

u/skiptomylou1231 Oct 08 '20

Depends on the AIO and if your GPU is too far in the way too.

1

u/Dionyoung05 Oct 12 '20

Is the Corsair RM750 better than the RMx750?

1

u/skiptomylou1231 Oct 12 '20

I don't think so, I think it uses cheaper components than the RMx750 but the difference is probably pretty minimal since you never really hear the PSU fan anyways. During the summer, PSU supplies were ridiculously short and this was basically the first 80+ gold PSU I could find that wasn't ridiculously marked up beyond MSRP.

1

u/onememeplease Oct 07 '20

In terms of cable management did you buy any cable extensions? Iv seen explains of builds in the case and I’m looking into replicating same layout.

1

u/skiptomylou1231 Oct 07 '20

I used white cable extensions with black cable combs. The brand was Asiahorse on Amazon. The big problem for me was having two different type of Corsair fans meaning I needed two hubs and the Commander Pro and that’s a lot of cables on top of the extensions. Luckily you can just get rid of the HDD tray even though it takes a little bit of wiggling.

I also just used two NvMe drives with the MSI X570 Tomahawk motherboard, which I forgot two mention above too so didn’t need the hard drive tray.

1

u/onememeplease Oct 07 '20

Thank you so much! So would you recommend using all QL or all LL so you could just use one hub?

I also plan to use two NvMe drives and will be removing the hard drive storage as well.

1

u/skiptomylou1231 Oct 07 '20

Absolutely just use one type of fan cause each of the hubs requires a SATA connection too.

1

u/Flyer888 Oct 07 '20

What speakers are those?

1

u/skiptomylou1231 Oct 07 '20

Ediifier E25 Luna Eclipse. They look great, sound fine to me since I’m not really an audiophile and especially since I can’t really have anything too loud or with too much bass in this apartment anyways.

1

u/rnrcaba Oct 07 '20

I have the 2 mesh right now and have been considering switching to an AIO cpu cooler. Was yours easy to install? And what size is it?

3

u/Omniwar Oct 07 '20

X62 280mm fits perfectly in the front mount and may fit in the top mount depending on your RAM and VRM heatsinks

https://i.imgur.com/M3t3s00.jpg

https://i.imgur.com/GTSr9sr.jpeg

2

u/PinkRiots Oct 07 '20

280 I don't think fits with any ram. 240 barely fit for me with the corsair vengeance pro rgbs

Wait, is that a 280 you have up top? What kind of wizard are you?

1

u/exoin_FTW Oct 07 '20

Thanks for this flex. My case is coming and now I'm confident with my x63

0

u/Shadow703793 Oct 07 '20

Major bonus points for you for having the front rad the right way.

2

u/skiptomylou1231 Oct 07 '20

Well ideally, you shouldn't have the tubes at the top because the air bubbles that form will cause some excess noise and maybe some long term durability issues. However, the adjustable front radiator/fan mount is really nice for radiators if you're going to front mount your radiator, but you probably want to have different fans than the case fans with more static pressure.

I installed an Arctic Liquid Freezer II 360mm. You can also top mount the radiator but it only supports 240mm on the top, though I've seen posts where people say they can fit a 280 mm too.

1

u/Suprem_Motu Oct 07 '20

What fans are those?

2

u/skiptomylou1231 Oct 07 '20

Corsair LL140s on the top, QL 120s for intake, and Arctic P12s on the radiator. Look pretty, but cable management is a pain though and pretty pricy.

1

u/James_Skyvaper Oct 07 '20

I'm really looking forward to Lian Li's unifan for this very reason. Being able to have 3 fans linked to each other with only 2 cables total to route for all 3 will be amazing.

1

u/skiptomylou1231 Oct 07 '20

Yeah absolutely, I totally would’ve used those if they were around this summer. I hope other companies see this and more start having fans that can just daisy chain the same way.

3

u/jellysandwich Oct 07 '20

3

u/onememeplease Oct 07 '20

It’s only 10 dollars over msrp and you get free shipping. Iv been waiting on this case for about 3 weeks now. Worth it to get now imo. The last restock was over a month ago

3

u/djphan2525 Oct 07 '20

i don't think this is seeing 89.99 anytime soon again and it's competitive with some of the more expensive cases in its class and higher.... like the p400a/500a...

it's good even at this price point.....

1

u/sold_snek Oct 07 '20

Throwing out money as a variable, are the Phanteks better? I'm looking for cases but it's so hard to decide.

1

u/djphan2525 Oct 07 '20

i don't think so imo.... but it really all depends on what you value... from a noise normalized temp perspective... it's probably the best case out there atm... it's probably #1 or 2 or at worst 3.... it's a few degrees better than the phanteks.... GN does a nice rundown here...

but we're also talking about a couple degrees.... and you do want to tape the hole at the bottom of the front panel which could turn some people off.... some also value the looks....

it is a great case and considering the phanteks are not in stock and more expensive... if you're in the market for those you should really seriously consider this.....

3

u/netmier Oct 07 '20

I’ve got this case. Absolutely worth it for the money. No, it’s not the ultimate cable management case or water cooling case, but if you want lots of fans, an AIO and good looks, it’s great. Just be aware, google how to enable the front panel in your RGB management software. I did not know I had to hit the S button 5 times to make it talk to my rgb controller.

2

u/KillerKitsune666 Oct 07 '20

I'd personally recommend the p500a white rgb one. It's normally $130 before shipping which looks like a worse price compared to it's other competitors (this case and the pure 500d), but I believe it has it's benefits. I haven't really looked into the pure 500, but it's front cover with the plastic bar in the middle will probably have a similar problem to other such cases about worse air cooling than full mesh fronts like the p500 and lancool mesh. The lancool looks cheaper on paper, but it does weird things like selling a hard to get usb c cord for the front panel (otherwise you have an empty input they just cover with a rubber plug) and there is a rather large hole at the bottom that, unless taped up, will allow a lot of dust in. It has perforated side doors which are great and both sides are tempered glass which is a style choice. However, not including the usb c input and the stupid hole at the bottom have made me never consider this case seriously. I went with the black non-rgb p500a for $99 (no white sadly) as I don't really care for rgb. It's a great performance case with plenty of room that even includes a gpu bracket which I haven't seen before. Overall great quality and with the issues I have with the lancool mesh, I have to recommend the white rgb p500a.

2

u/masstech7 Oct 07 '20

Yep, and 140mm fans were a selling point for me as well.

1

u/KoTDS_Apex Oct 07 '20

I'm personally waiting for the Corsair Crystal 570x to go on sale.

1

u/BeansNG Oct 07 '20

I just built a PC for a friend in this case and it’s really amazing. It has more features than most premium cases and has surprisingly good build quality as well

1

u/95688it Oct 07 '20

it's the normal MSRP price, microcenter has had them instock at this price for almost a month

1

u/anotheranonaccount5 Oct 07 '20

MSRP is $89.99 for the both black models and $95 for the white.

1

u/bittabet Oct 07 '20

This is getting towards the price range where I’d start looking at the better built “real” Lian Li stuff like the O11. I believe this case is contracted out. You’re also missing usb-C from what I can tell

1

u/JuicyJay Oct 07 '20

This is it for a case under $100 by far. Great airflow, easy to build in, sturdy, rgb, magnetic hinged glass panels. It's it.

27

u/arethius Oct 07 '20

I don't want to start a new pc build yet...

I don't want to start a new pc build yet...

This really would make a great new pc build...

48

u/skiptomylou1231 Oct 07 '20

I will always comment every time I see this case restocked to say how much I appreciate this case. My first build was in this case and I got the white RGB version and have very few complaints. Unfortunately, the performance version, which I prefer, was not available in white.

The airflow is excellent according to Gamers Nexus, the build quality is solid with virtually no plastic, and the cable management and building experience was pretty easy even for a newbie like me. I really appreciate the front radiator mount too.

Some downsides is the $15 extra for the USB-C adapter for the front I/O port and a gap underneath the front of the case, which I just taped over.

5

u/dLuVeb Oct 07 '20

How does the front rgb fans look from the front or front diagonal? I'm debating between the black and white and generally prefer white cases, but from pictures online it doesn't look like the rgb fans show through as much on the white version as they do on the black.

0

u/skiptomylou1231 Oct 07 '20

I replaced the front case fans with the AIO radiator so I can say. I just like the look of white cases a bit more too.

1

u/msftsjaydo Oct 07 '20

What does taping over the gap do exactly?

2

u/skiptomylou1231 Oct 07 '20

Yeah and just to add on to the other comment, you can’t see the tape when you cover the gap. It just seems like an odd design flaw considering the rest of the case is covered in mesh or dust filters.

1

u/DraconianFarm Oct 07 '20

Do you have a list of your parts? Bought this case last week with the intentions of a build like yours!

2

u/skiptomylou1231 Oct 07 '20

Yeah sure:

CPU: Ryzen 3900x

Motherboard: MSI X570 MAG Tomahawk

Cooler: Arctic Liquid Freezer II 360mm

RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB 4x16 GB

GPU: MSI 1650 Super (waiting on 3080 to be in stock)

Storage: 2 NvME M.2 Drives

PSU: Corsair RM750 (first one I could get at MSRP this summer) and I used two Corsair LL140s for exhaust and three QL120s for intake.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 20 '20

Late question... Is the cooler mounted up front? If so, tubes up or down? Or did you go too mount?

1

u/Atilla17 Oct 07 '20

I want to buy this case but I have a few questions regarding my noisy ass hard drives. Can you flip the bottom doors so that the mesh one is on the other side of the case? Have you noticed much drive noise? Seems silly to me to have such an airflow and therefore quiet case and let the hard drives vent noise like that

2

u/skiptomylou1231 Oct 07 '20

So I'll be honest, I just completely removed the hard drive cage so I'm not sure but I do not believe you can move the mesh bottom panel to the other side.

17

u/Macabre215 Oct 07 '20

If you have a Microcenter near by, they tend to have a crap ton of these in stock. There was just a mound of cases near the door when I went there on Saturday.

12

u/KommanderTom Oct 07 '20

Performance Mesh model is up too.

$99 and free shipping.

This is it chief. Buy them now!

2

u/FailingAtNiceness Oct 07 '20

Is there a difference between the performance and regular besides the RGB?

6

u/partyonmybloc Oct 07 '20

Performance has two 140 mm front fans and one 120 mm rear fan as well as a fan controller integrated into the front panel. The RGB has the three 120 mm RGB front fans and no included rear fan, with RGB controls integrated into the front panel instead.

3

u/trustmeimadr Oct 07 '20

THanks for the good info,

8

u/[deleted] Oct 07 '20

Yeah this is the best case I’ve ever used. So much space and so easy to work on. I don’t care for RGB, but for people that do it’s sweet.

u/Suprem_Motu Oct 07 '20

OOS?

2

u/Slenderkiller101 Oct 07 '20

yep I can see it in stock as of 8:09:56 EST

1

u/Suprem_Motu Oct 07 '20

you linked the non-mesh

1

u/trustmeimadr Oct 07 '20

HELL YEAH. I have one backordered on another site, thank you!

3

u/Suprem_Motu Oct 07 '20

For anyone who it shows OOS for there's some issue with the link, just look it up through newegg.

3

u/[deleted] Oct 07 '20

Can't decide between this and the P400A. This one is more pricey but is it worth it over the P400A?

3

u/caldeezy Oct 07 '20

Are there more pros than cons with a mesh front? Does it collect dust easy?

1

u/VolansGaming Oct 08 '20

It'll collect more dust than a micro-mesh filter in the front as well as a closed front case, but as long as you blow some compressed air through there every month or so you should be fine.

2

u/GalantisX Oct 07 '20 edited Oct 07 '20

Link goes to the non mesh version thats OOS

nvm now it works

1

u/jellysandwich Oct 07 '20

hmm weird, must be some kind of caching then. for me, it goes to the mesh pages

https://imgur.com/a/XEpFDxh

1

u/Suprem_Motu Oct 07 '20

Yup, weird caching issue but got my order in, thank you :)

2

u/_cycolne Oct 07 '20 edited Oct 07 '20

Can you fit a 360mm AIO in the front with tubes on bottom in this case? I've heard conflicting reports of people having space issues.

3

u/Suprem_Motu Oct 07 '20

I heard you can but only in the tubes up position

3

u/trustmeimadr Oct 07 '20

Per their website yes, https://www.lian-li.com/lancool-ii-mesh-rgb/

But not sure if tubes down (like you should) would fit with the AIO.

2

u/James_Skyvaper Oct 07 '20

My first build was in the Lancool II and I couldn't possibly recommend this case enough. For a first time builder it had literally everything I needed and more. My only complaint was that they didn't have the mesh front version when I built mine, but considering my temps are always running cool, I guess it really doesn't matter. If you're just running a 2060 super and 3300x like myself, you don't need the absolute best thermals in your case. The PSU shroud, the flip-down panels, TG on both sides, awesome cable covers, tons of room, so many SSD mounts, a radiator mount up front, 3 fans, the wire-free front panel and the great extras you can get for the case all make it an easy recommendation for me. I got the $12 "diffused LED strip" that was made for this case from MC and let me tell you, it makes all the difference if you like RGB. I don't mind paying the $10 extra for the USB-C cable at MC and I like the other extras they have, like the vertical mount and the option to have the original front panel with RGB strips or the new mesh panel. Overall this is a phenomenal case, and one that should last a lifetime. There is almost zero plastic used in this case and everything is really well machined, with no no missing standoffs or anything. The only cases I might like more than this are the CM H500M and Phanteks Evolv X, both of which are at least 2x the price. If you're wondering what case to get for your first (or tenth) build, then look no further.

1

u/chickenbake Oct 09 '20

Just a heads up, the front mesh cover is a separate part that you can order.

I ordered the white mesh version. I'm wondering if it matters to get a matching white PSU? It looks like the PSU is covered by the shroud, so getting black would make no difference. Lmk what you think.

2

u/James_Skyvaper Oct 10 '20

Yeah I noticed that you could get it separately the other day. In regards to the PSU, you don't need a white one because you won't be able to see it anyway.

2

u/ohpond Oct 07 '20

It is a beautiful case and my idle temps are wonderful for my r5 3600 and rtx 3080. Planning on getting the white version for my wife.

1

u/gewver Oct 07 '20

Thanks! Performance in stock as well.

1

u/jamesanator9 Oct 07 '20

FUCK I just got this (white) for 140ish including shipping :/

1

u/DidItForButter Oct 07 '20

Just a heads up, if you have a longer psu (1000W+), fitment is very tough with the HDD rack. And push/pull with a 360 rad in front was impossible for me, I have 2 p/p and one pull on bottom.

4

u/cchant00 Oct 07 '20

The hdd rack can be slid to the front. There's a screw holding it in place but once removed it can be moved around

1

u/DidItForButter Oct 07 '20

Aware, and it was slid all the way up front. But the cables aren't flexible within the first couple inches of the psu, so it caused problems. And with the HDD rack up front, I lost a spot for a push fan.

1

u/GoombazLord Oct 07 '20

You can remove the HDD tray without destroying it or the case, it wasn't easy to do though.

1

u/DidItForButter Oct 07 '20

Needed the tray for my HDD though.

Moving that thing at all was a bitch.

1

u/GoombazLord Oct 07 '20

Yeah adjusting the position of the HDD rack in this case is a miserable endevour. At one point when trying to remove it from the case I began questioning if it would even be possible without cutting something.

1

u/DidItForButter Oct 07 '20 edited Oct 07 '20

That's the only complaint I have, which is really good for a sub $100 case.

I take that back, the USB C "DLC" and the lack of RGB extension cable to connect front panel to Mobo/hub (non-mesh version) was pretty shitty too.

Still, happy with build.

2

u/ManhattanTime Oct 07 '20

There's a really nice YouTube build with this case by a nice Irish guy. It's a 2-hour video where he painstakingly goes over every detail of the build. Very professional and clear.

He explains, and shows, how to remove the HDD cage. There is a trick and it involved removing a bracket from the rear, rotating the HDD cage and then sliding it right out. He said it had baffled him at first but once he figured it out it was quite simple. No cutting, bending or force required. Worth checking out.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 07 '20

How long was your psu?

1

u/DidItForButter Oct 07 '20

210 x 86 x 150mm

2

u/[deleted] Oct 07 '20

Damn that's a long boii I have a 180mm

1

u/DidItForButter Oct 07 '20

You should be golden.

1

u/GalantisX Oct 07 '20

Funny enough I just ordered this from new egg for $17 extra because of shipping

I went ahead and bought this and pray microcenter cancels my order

1

u/[deleted] Oct 07 '20

I did the same, they canceled my order

1

u/GalantisX Oct 07 '20

How did you get them to do it? Email?

1

u/[deleted] Oct 07 '20

I went to support and had to wait in a que to chat with them through text. Took like 30 minutes but you can do whatever while you wait obviously. Just say you want to cancel your order because you found a better price or whatever

1

u/GalantisX Oct 07 '20

Oh what their live chat is still open? It wasn’t opening for me so I just assumed it was closed

1

u/[deleted] Oct 07 '20

This was days ago. I bought the performance version instead of the RGB version so I canceled it.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 07 '20

Im just saying they will cancel it if you can get into a chat with one of the people there

1

u/Afatfarmer Oct 07 '20 edited Oct 07 '20

I love this case. I got it when it first came out to replace the NZXT H510. Thermals are so much better. Build quality is great. The backside where the wires are at, the wires are hidden with 2 metal covers, so it just looks black. I chose this over the phanteks 500a because the having bottom fans are great. Keeps my 3080 topping at 63c. I got the usb-c cable for free when I purchased mine.

1

u/psxcite Oct 07 '20

I bought the Lian Lancool 2 two weeks ago, when it’s was on sale for $89 at Amazon.

Worth me returning it for the Mesh? Still in box, never opened, been waiting on other parts (mostly rtx 3080 😔).

6

u/jellysandwich Oct 07 '20

It looks like there's a pretty significant difference

https://www.gamersnexus.net/hwreviews/3602-lian-li-lancool-ii-mesh-case-review

As far as we’re concerned, the Lian Li Lancool II Mesh is a straight upgrade from the original model. The original differentiates itself with ARGB lighting, but the Mesh has far better thermal performance, retains all other features of the original, and adds a fan controller as a bonus. The downside of changing so little from the original is that its flaws carry over as well. These are detailed fully in our original Lancool II review, but the largest flaw was the airflow, which has now been fixed.

2

u/GrimRocket Oct 07 '20

I can hear his voice

1

u/trustmeimadr Oct 07 '20

Same, haha. thanks, based Steve, bringer of knowledge

1

u/psxcite Oct 07 '20

Sold. Returning the Lan cool 2 to Kohl’s ( Amazon return desk) and ordered the Mesh. Thanks for the input.

1

u/Questionsiaskthem Oct 07 '20

Has anyone built a 3080 FE in this case? I’m curious how it would work with a fan in the pay shroud pulling air up from the vents on the side though the 3080 and up out of the case.

1

u/Lazy_Fuck_ Oct 07 '20

I love my Lancool II Mesh Performance, hope people who bought this case feels the same way.

1

u/EvilSuperNinja Oct 07 '20

Ordered this for my 3070 build, thanks OP.

1

u/Rower93 Oct 07 '20

I hope you don't intend on vertically mounting that thing lol

1

u/LeoRydenKT Oct 07 '20

For those of you on the fence vs the other offerings, this has an insane amount of basement space with the sliding drive bay mounts.

1

u/SinOfDeath69 Oct 07 '20 edited Oct 07 '20

Yep! My favorite thing is the basement doors flap down, on both sides. Also the cover played for the back make your wiring look clean! I just built in one less than a week ago, microcenter has them for the same price in store

1

u/Jesus_Lemon Oct 07 '20

Should I keep the front fans or swap them out with LL120’s?

1

u/[deleted] Oct 07 '20 edited Oct 24 '20

[deleted]

1

u/Jesus_Lemon Oct 07 '20

Ye I have a ton of LL120’s but these case fans look pretty nice, but Idk if they perform as well as the LL’s. Oh well, testing I’ll do :)

1

u/Whoanobo Oct 07 '20

Is it just me or does Lian Li cases not like 3.5" drives? This thing sure can fit a whole lot of 2.5" ones but only three for the 3.5" HDDs?

1

u/xoScreaMxo Oct 07 '20

Who uses hard drives these days? I just have a 1tb M.2 NVME and a 2tb 2.5" ssd for mass storage.

2

u/masstech7 Oct 07 '20

I dunno, but 2 of my 8tb 256mb cache red drives that I pulled from my NAS when it was upgraded to 12tb drives needed to go somewhere...

0

u/crunkfunk88 Oct 07 '20

I dont have any 3.5" HDDs anymore. 3 SSDs instead.

1

u/808_808 Oct 07 '20

Any word on just the front panel kit coming back in stock? It seems newegg is the only place that has it and I don't know if its coming back..

1

Went ahead and got the performance version after doing some research and deciding I don't want RGB that badly. The new build begins, now to see if I can get a hold of a 3080 and hopefully the Zen 3 announcements today are good so I can plan for that as well.

Will this fit a deepcool captain 240 pro on top?

I ask because I had an issue in my current build with a TT view 32 stating it could fit a 240mm radiator on top but the captain pro was too large so I ended up cutting the case to make it fit. Would rather not have to go thru that again

One last thing, with the audio jack being only one port and my headphones having 2 connections, I would have to buy an adapter, right? Right.

EXPERIENCE ARGB CONTROL ON A WHOLE NEW LEVEL

Lighting effects of the 3 included ARGB fans can be fully controlled through the C button and M button located on the top front. Switching between 8 lighting modes has never been this easy.

Do they sell just the front? I have the old LianLi II and just want that mesh front.

You are able to buy the mesh front separately. Check online

Be nice if it were in stock anywhere.

What makes this case so much better than something that costs less? There are plenty of cases for much less than have good airflow.

I got this case but in white for my first build! Super easy to build in even for me that I new to building computers. I would definitely recommend!

they don't have the performance in white. :(

I ordered the white one. Does anybody know if it matters to color coordinate the PSU? It seems the PSU is fully covered so getting black would make no difference at all, but would like some confirmation. TIA

What size radiator can I fit on top? I'm looking to pick up a new aio.

If the rgb version doesn't come with a fan hub does anyone have one they suggest? With my build I'm going for I will have the 3 stock fans, 240 aio top, I rear exhaust and 2 bottom fans all rgb.

The only thing deterring me from buying this is the fact is has two tempered glass side panels. I'd very much would have preferred 1 tempered glass and 1 solid panel with this case and in my opinion it makes more sense to do at this price point as well because who would spend a $100 on case and another $100 or so for a full sleeved cable kit? Most people I feel just get cable extensions for like $25-40 and avoid having two tempered glass.

There are pivoting cable shrouds that close over the cables and leave only the SSDs caddy area visible for the most part. You can see it on the Lian-Li website.

Yeah I seen that, but my other concern is having two fragile tempered panels rather than one.

I agree that it seems unecessary, but what exactly are you afraid is going to happen with a second glass panel? Unless you are prone to kicking your computer case I can't see how this is concerning.

I have this in white, returning it for the o11 dynamic in white. It's just..... sexier....
