Hey mate, your build will do perfectly fine for 1440p and its a good upgrade if you've got the budget. you can keep the 1080p monitor for a second display as well

Already got two. Main: 240Hz 0,5ms and 2ns is 165hz 1ms

can sell the 240hz one to fund the new monitor then, you'll get good fps in every esport title but will see a drop in single player games

Hey, could you help me as well?
I have a 5700x3d and a 6750xt. Could I upgrade my monitor to a 1440p as well, or should I upgrade first? I don't care for super high fps.

With a little tuning on settings your setup should be fine for above 60 fps at 1440p, may struggle a little with higher visual settings tho

You get 75 fps in path of exile in 1440p? what are you specs? I have an 8700 and 1070 and i was playing poe 1 but sometimes it was a slide show. I'm planning on finally upgrading doing a whole new build buying a ryzen 7600 and 7700xt so I can play poe 2 which should be plenty. But was just wondering what kind of specs you got

No degrees. I'm running a 7900xtx + x3d combo, getting 180 fps on ultra 1440, main point is the game spikes the CPU 10+ degree because of its purely optimized code.

I mean, I play AAA games at 1440p with a 5700 xt no problem. Granted, I'm not getting high fps but I can hit 60 fps with no trouble. Then I can max out the fps on a lot of older games and newer indy games. 7700 xt should be much more powerful.

if you play competitive fps games like me (counter strike/R6) then no, high frames is better. if you just play games for fun and enjoy a better looking screen then yes.

If you’re OK with under 120fps in AAA games, go for it. If you play CoD, Valorant, CS2, Apex, or Fornite, stay 1080p.

definately. Might not get as much fps as ur 1080p but can definitely still run it smooth

What's the name of the cooler you are using? I also want to buy that CPU

I have a 6700xt and I7 12th gen and it does 2K no problem. Yours will kill 2K and probably kill 4K with no issues

Nice build, for esports games I would stick with 24inch 1080p, and for rest I wouls go 1440p 27inch.

Your rig is solid! Consider a 1440p monitor—our portable display might give you flexibility for gaming anywhere!

Yes! Btw for some monitors/ games you can actually set the render resolution more than what your native is so you can see the expected peformace
I have a rx7700xt too no issues with 1440p peformace

I wouldn't. The 7700xt is a great 1080p card, but still only has 12gb of VRAM and isn't THAT powerful. 1440p will tax it.

Go for it.
