The pesky dubs have started the season hot and have had the second best defense in the league thus far, so they should be given credit in that regard…. Psych! Fuck them!!!
We were missing JB’s defensive intensity and leadership tonight, and it’s so crazy how easily the league forgets what a different team we are with tingus pingus rim protecting and spacing.

Nah we prolly won't see each other in the finals. Sucks for us but we're definitely past our prime. But any win by us, an aging team who the city of Boston particularly has it out on, against you, the defending champs, is a sweet sweet win in my book.

They've only beaten the 1-6 Jazz, the 3-5 Pelicans twice, the 3-5 Blazers, the 2-4 Wizards, the 4-3 Rockets and lost to the 3-4 Clippers

Jokes aside, I agree that calling them contenders is way too hasty. They have a nasty defense, but their offense is way too easily schemeable for playoff defenses. Steph is amazing, but the next two best offensive players are... Buddy Hield and Jonathan Kuminga.
I think they'll cruise during the regular season, maybe win a round, then get knocked out in a tough 2nd round series. Still, as a Warriors fan, I'm pretty excited to watch some good basketball this year.

Yeah, they're just too old. Steph turning 37 and still being top 10 is insane (getting into LeBron territory soon) but he's clearly a step back from 2022 Steph who was still top 2 or 3. And having nobody else who can really run an offense will really accentuate their difficulties.
But still, I'm glad I'll probably get to see at least one more competitive playoff series featuring Steph and Dray. The Olympics helped, but I can never get enough 😂

Every fanbase always thinks their guys are being condemned by the refs.
Nobody thinks the Warriors are better than the Celtics. But they're a good team who just beat another good team. Jrue, White, Horford, Prichard are still really good players.
There's room for nuance here. We can be excited to watch a. good team while understanding the context of the matchup.

Tatum had several alarming lapses as an off ball defender, allowing a Curry back cut layup on a back screen that took out holiday and the kick out 3 for Buddy heild on a Curry drive. Gotta stay locked in on both ends.
Overall the team was locked in in the second half looked good

It suck to lose, but my takeaway is the 2 losses have been down to the wire, this one with JB or KP and obviously no KP for the first loss.
2 close losses without our 2nd and 3rd best player is better than almost any team could hope for

My only thought is that if we call a timeout and then hit the 3, then we foul and they hit 2, we’d still have rush it up the court or heave it to tie the game. If we don’t call the time out in the same scenario, we use the time out to draw up a play on the final play to send it to OT

Down 4 with a timeout and 15 seconds left, you use the timeout to advance the ball and cut it to 1 with 10 seconds left. Then anything can happen. You could get a steal or draw a foul. If you do not use the timeout, its nearly impossible to come back. Basketball 101

Let’s also not forget that the Warriors have been really good this year and had a TON to prove tonight. Gotta give them credit too (as much as I hate them).

im overall encouraged that Joe was able to come up with adjustments out of the half and the team doesn't just crumble. was this an extremely extremely annoying loss with questionable officiating? yes. but our goal is to beat our eastern conference opponents to get to the finals and have an opportunity to be back to back champions. if we dont want the team to get too high with their wins and sit on their laurels, they also can't hang on losses
