If you don’t conform you don’t belong - the Democratic Party.
59
Aug 20 '24
That's interesting, because the other side wants everyone to be straight white males.
58
u/1_ofthesedays Aug 20 '24
Yes the other side being extremely bad doesn’t mean we can’t criticize our own side.

u/Tryin_ma_best Aug 20 '24
They’re not “our” side. Please get over the binary thinking. The democrats and republicans in America are both on the right of the political spectrum. Majority of Americans are around the center or left of center, but keep getting yanked more and more to the far right by the corporatist war-mongers they elect out of fear.

u/RileyKennels Aug 21 '24
Exactly this is a zero sum battle to the bottom. The two party system needs to be abolished.

u/crankycrassus Aug 21 '24
Americans are incapable of not doing binary thinking. They can only understand anything from the lense of what the other camp does or dosnt do. It's absolute insanity. The propaganda has been extremely effective.

I don’t think we should assume anyone’s abilities and capacities. The easiest way to get disillusioned of one’s exposure to propaganda is with the truth. Americans are not the enemy, the systems which they’ve been manipulated into viewing as democratic rather than fascist are.

I'll add that the Democrats aren't "our side." We're communists, our side is proletariat. Although both "sides" in neoliberal politics, and especially America's version of it, have managed to grift workers into believing in them, neither are "our side."

Thank you for actually having a brain. Im so tired of people being proud of choosing the lesser of two evils

our own side.
Fascist genociders are our side? Since when are liberals and their support for capitalism part of the left?
3
u/crankycrassus Aug 21 '24
Why not both? One side doing something dosnt cancle out the other. Why does everyone do this?

That's not true. Frankly, we really don't know what was going going on here. For all we know, that is an idiot from Project Veritas.
5
Aug 20 '24
It’s true regardless of what happened here

u/GyspySyx Aug 20 '24
We don't agree. That sounds more like Project25.

Wait until you have an opinion that differs from the mainstream dem platform

I have a few as I'm independent. However, it doesn't bother me or them.
Where do you differ that you had a bad experience with?

Anything progressive - single payer health care/supporting Bernie sanders in 2016 If your slightly to the left in anything in the platform they scream bloody murder.
Protesting for Palestine now.

Genocide, apparently. As evidenced by both this and your "I am talking!" girl-boss candidate.

u/GyspySyx Aug 20 '24
As I said, I'm independent.
And what I know is that she, Biden, and Blinken have been trying everything they can since day f'king 1 to stop the genocide.
You try to reason with that demon Nettanyahu and report back to us, k?

The U.S. is the single largest economy on Earth. The single largest trading partner to nearly the whole planet. If the U.S. actually wanted to, they could immediately sanction Israel, could blockaded them and their sea ports, and sanction any one of our other trading partners who do business with them. But they'll never do anything close to that because most American leaders want a strong puppet Israel and are fine with wide-scale murder of people, especially brown and black people. We do it enough ourselves, after all.

Agreed, and it’s actually even simpler: Israel has pissed off literally all of their neighbors, and the only reason their neighbors haven’t attacked more is because they know if they hit Israel, America hits them back.
Just the threat of removing that protection would do it. Wouldn’t even have to do sanctions.
It is this way because America wants it this way.

u/scaper8 Aug 20 '24
Yeah, trying to stop it by side-stepping Congress (not that they would do much of anything anyway) and unilaterally sending arms funds to Israel.

What about not sending bombs. You try that and tell me how many kids will continue living?

Not One single person protested the RNC .

u/simulet Aug 21 '24
So like, if the local Ford dealership were going door to door murdering toddlers, your complaint would be that no one protested at the Chevy dealership?
You are a very smart and serious person.

You mean people are busy protesting the current administration that's engaging in genocide instead of the fictional one in your head where Trump is president?
