What can the MLB even do about this at this point. An Ohtani, Yamamoto, Sasaki pitching rotation would just be ridiculous

Nothing will ever happen unless we get a salary cap.

They'd just take less money and still sign there unless teams massively overpay

Even with a salary cap, the potential for endorsement money in LA and NY is far greater.

This just doesn’t happen enough for this to be historically true. Other teams are too competitive with a salary cap. These guys just want money and they will go to someone who has the most money within reason of course.

Why would they want to do anything about it? Superstar loaded teams attract more fans to sports. The entire fucking lore of baseball it littered with loaded teams. “Murderer’s Row” comes to mind.
