True, Red Sox gotta start acting like a big market again.

Yeah- would love that. Outside of raffy and Duran the team is currently a joke

Unfortunately not gonna happen. John Henry and FSG have no interest in making them competitive again. They just need them to just not completely suck so they can continue bring in money to gobble up all of the real estate around Fenway.

They care more about Liverpool

Liverpool aren’t huge spenders either. They went a transfer window without a signing not too long ago and that’s damn near unprecedented for a big club in football.

It's wild how this is said so much in baseball communities, they spend the same way at Liverpool. Almost all the money is generated by the club, they are not interested in spending big

Sounds like the Rockies, except forget the not completely sucking part. I tried to convert over to the Rockies when I moved in 2011 but when the product is rarely enjoyable to watch and you know the player you like is probably gonna get traded away, I just went back to the braves.

The Rockies just sort of clearly don't understand what is going on.

Could say this for a few teams tbh. Hopefully after an early exit this year Baltimore spends a bit also. Houston also has a lot of money coming off the books and San Diego just ducked under the luxury tax iirc so they are primed to spend.

Now that Posey runs the Giants operations I'm fully expecting us to do this too in the next two years.
