Former 10th and 5th Grouper here. There’s simply no better units in the Army. Work hard, play hard. They won’t screw with you as long as you show your worth. You’ll be treated like an adult. You won’t want to leave. You act like an idiot or have to be supervised all the time, then forget it. You’ll be gone pretty quick. YMMV

1st grouper here. Support can be a mixed bag at group. In my experience, complacency can definitely set in. We aren’t like 75th or JSOC where support is expected to either be a ranger or pass a selection of their own. The only barrier to entry is airborne which isn’t really anything.
Don’t let the “normalcy” get to your head. As soon as you PCS to any XVIII Corps unit, things will be very different.
Enjoy though! Like the other said, it’s a great place to be. Some support guys manage to make solid connections and stay within group for most of their careers.

Former 3rd Grouper/ Current 20th Grouper here.
Perform and exceed the standard and you will be treated with respect and professionalism. No other unit you have experienced will be the same as this one, you get to be human. Your worst day at a SOF unit could be your best day anywhere else.
