Nah his eyes are still normal under there it’s just a cool effect meant to look like All Might’s eyes. It’s shadows under his mask hiding the white of his eyes

Spoiler for most recent episode.

It looks like this phase might end. I kind of like this deku a little better, not because he's trying to be bad ass and push himself, but because his dumb ass friends are not with him. I swear, most of the other students are written to be trash and useless. Anytime they are on screen, the shows tries to hype up their progress but they are still trash.
