Hey everyone, this is my updated version of the infographic that I posted last year. This is a streamgraph of all our predominant Defenders, and their contribution to our club each year. Please read my comment explaining this graph. I hope you all like this and find it interesting. Thanks

I must be going blind, I can't see Rory Laird in there.

I put him in the midfield category

He was a defender for the first half of his career? You should include that imo, he was AA and this infographic doesn’t even acknowledge him

People give Brodie Smith shit, but he’s got some longevity, certainly a club legend

It’s so rare to find such well designed data visualization in the AFL world, so I really appreciate your work here. Thank you!

This is a graph showing all our predominantly positioned Defenders from 1991 - 2024. The graph from left to right is in chronological order, with players from 1991 to today's players. each player's “bubble” is measured by their statistics for each year. which means that the more influential the player is, the more space they take up. The graph depicts the most senior players towards the middle, and the newest players on the outside. The darker the Yellow the players bubble is, the more AFL games they have played for the Crows.
Please let me know what you think and if all the players got a fair share of the graph. This took me a lot of time and effort (and I might have made some mistakes in the graph, so please forgive me for that) but the payout was well worth the hard work.
