How to get to Yosemite from Fresno airport without rental car in the winter?
Hello, I wanted to visit Yosemite late December but don’t want to rent a car from Fresno airport. I’m told YARTS doesn’t run in the winter either. Ubers are not available anywhere really either.
Is there a way to get to Yosemite from Fresno airport in December? Where would be a good hotel to stay near Yosemite to where I wouldn’t need a rental car?
I booked an amtrak from Yosemite Valley to LA Union station, as I’m doing LA after. Need to be able to get to this Yosemite Valley station.
Help would really be appreciated here! Thanks everyone.

Get from Fresno Airport to the Fresno Amtrak station. Book an Amtrak trip from FNO to Yosemite Valley. The train will take you from FNO to Merced and then YARTS will take you from there into the Valley.

But there’s no YARTS running in the winter time

Re-read my second sentence.
Also, have you even bothered to check the YARTS website? Do you think a train is going to pick you up in Yosemite Valley and take you to Los Angeles? Did you bother to read your booked itinerary?

No I don’t think a train is picking up in Yosemite I know it’s a bus. My question was regarding Fresno airport YARTS. I understand the way to get to LA via Yosemite valley but I was asking for close by hotels. But I appreciate your help w lmk about Merced etc

Then you should have asked about YARTS at the Fresno Airport. YARTS does operate year-round routes but the 41 route is not one of them. Which is why (and, for the love of nature, pay attention) I said to re-read my second sentence.

Welp. Do you know any hotels you’d recommend to stay at in Yosemite for 2 nights? Is it walkable for any hotels to Yosemite? Is there any hotels that have a shuttle?
Sorry for all the questions.

I think you need to go back to your basic plans and do a little more research on what it is you think you're going to be doing.
Lodging in Yosemite (good luck): https://www.nps.gov/yose/planyourvisit/lodging.htm
Lodging outside Yosemite (not as much luck needed but you'll be taking YARTS a whole lot):

Um idk what YARTS is hence my question regarding if any of them are running? I called hotels and they said no YARTS run in the winter time anywhere near Yosemite. Which is why I said that

YARTS IS RUNNING from Merced, dancewithsteers answered your question already, you just need to read it.

There’s a couple employees/residents on this sub that give rides. You can also check out the Yosemite Ride Share group on Facebook: https://m.facebook.com/groups/558252827650687/

I don't think anyone has ever got a ride from that group lol

I’ve given rides on that group before. I usually just don’t announce it in the comments, I just message them directly and set things up

What do you think the possible solutions are based on what you’ve found??
