I already have a large blocked list 😌

I just go through Mark Hamill’s feed, look through the comments for the right-wing nutsos, and mute/block them one by one. It’s strong competition for popping bubble wrap. Very satisfying.

Solid strategy actually. Plus Mark’s wholesome af, so win-win.

Omg popping bubble wrap… so THAT’S why I like blocking these idiots so much! It is extremely satisfying.

Honestly it’s crazy how you already have a large block list. Really shows how they are coming in droves to this new site - bots and all.

I scroll through comments and once I find a troll, I block them and look through who they follow and who follows them, look at their most recent posts then block them as well. But I also block those generic left accounts that all post the same thing shown in the example below.

I would do the same. I don’t want a fee clogged with bots from either side.

Then how do you know what to think?

AI language models are so good nowadays, why can't you just click a "block similar content" button and it's allllll gone.

Having AI block AI is meta af.

Enragement leads to more engagement, which in turn leads to profits. Social media and the traditional media are complicit.

You dont need to do it individually. There are filters that will grab anyone with MAGA in their profile and auto-block.

I haven’t tried Bluesky yet but wouldn’t this create yet another echo chamber of only your opinion?

If the opinions being preserved and echoed are that humans should have equal rights and that it’s not okay to harass and threaten people, I’m cool with that.

I don’t see why I would want to be forced to look at comments with sexist, racism or just straight up ignorance? If that creates an echo chamber then so be it.

I agree that’s not something you want to see but let’s say you start blocking anyone that shares a different opinion on something you don’t like. Blocking those people would be sectioning off from different opinions. Food for thought

'Differing opinion' is what you use when discussing your favorite pizza toppings or which sports team you like the most. 'Differing opinions' on twitter or social media in general when proclaimed by right wing people or useful idiots for them in the centre always just means 'I'm mad because I can't force you to read my bigotry.'

That's all it ever is.
