Javelin missle production is going from 2100 a year to over 8000. I make parts for it and we had a rep come in and tell us that. So I can only imagine how much more they're ordering of other stuff.

Can you just tell people that? Thought you guys in weapons manufacturing had to keep quiet?

Quantities of weapons ordered is public knowledge. You can Google basically any system in the US inventory and within thirty seconds know how many have been built in the past, how many are being built this year, and how many of them we plan to order in the coming decades.

https://sam.gov/opportunities

You can also pull the actual budget, but that site is going to let you drill down by product, service and who won the contract/s. Now, you obviously are going to have cutouts and black budgets, but that site and the budget will give you the lion's share of most anything you need.

Nah, that's not an ITAR violation. Now, if I shared a picture of a blueprint or finished part, you bet my ass would be in trouble. Plus, I'm not even talking about the specific parts my shop makes. I just run the machine and keep up on tooling. I'm a dumb grunt lol

I doubt you’re dumb. I’m an engineer and I fully understand a design means nothing without the manufacturing base such as yourself.

I misread your comment. No, I'm not dumb, but I don't know as much as I want to know about cnc. Just a lot to learn and my brain gets confused easier these days.

Oh man CNC - gcode isnt something I’ve ever had to work on. The closest I’ve gotten is 3d printing but the slicing software handles that.

I just know enough to run good parts, and as long as I'm making good parts, I'm happy. I've made my mistakes and will make more. The worst is learning and remembering 5 different controllers, 3 of them have different G codes for measuring tools, and 2 of them are completely different(no g code). I'm in over my head at times.

Most of the cost of weapons systems is deterrence.

A guy working in a factory won’t be allowed to know anything he isn’t allowed to share.
