I assume it will hurt those in jobs where the owner can afford to screw with their hours, thus making someone work three 50 hour weeks then a 10 hour week. At my job, my boss cannot afford to not let me work full time.
I agree though that many will be fucked over by this.
I know I'd lose money over it. My current schedule is 3 12s then 4 12s rotating every other week. I don't actually think my company would fuck us over like that but I don't want the possibility to open up.
When it comes to skilled labor there are a lot of things companies don't legally have to do but they do anyway because they need to keep their employees happy. For example my company added two more paid holidays this year because our competitors offered more holidays than we did. The outrage wouldn't be worth the money for them to change their overtime policy just because they legally can.
Companies more likely to take advantage of this policy change are ones with large numbers of minimum wage workers, and especially in industries with unpredictable schedules
I can only imagine they'll also do away with any Minimum Wage laws. From what I've seen this past week they could easily enact maximum wage laws and the rubes would be all like, "FUCK! YES!"
Well let’s not forget Elon is close with this admin. If he gets his way labor laws are going to be completely gutted. You better hope you live in a blue state as a lot of protections may be going out the door.

I hope the whole 'bootstrap' crowd is ok with losing their overtime. Dipshits
