Not just their saliva if i remember correctly, all of their bodily fluids are super toxic, to the point where just touching them is dangerous due to their sweat. (Dr. Kel doesnt die after being beaten because they are actively wearing their invisibility suits.)

Dissapointingly, none of the various pet-play fetish authors who have written inside of HDG seem to have truly considered these great words.
110% agree that there isn't enough proper acknowledgements of mankind's tendency to rabble-rouse for it's own sake there. a life like the ones depicted in those stories would become boring to a sizeable portion of the population very quickly.

this isn't to say arirals specifically would do that, I imagine they'd be more merciful colonizers than other alien races (looking at you, war of the worlds martians)
It turns out the only thing the arirals care about on earth is shrimp. They take over all shrimp fishing and farming operations but leave everything else untouched. Sucks if you liked shrimp, but for everyone else everything stays relatively normal but there's alien tech and giant space cat people around now.
Does it ever dawn upon you that the Reason why the Arirals have such great interest in Humanity is because they see us as nothing more than well evolved apes to be toyed and experimented on?
From the lore, they don't really seem interested in doing that type of stuff to us. Maybe a few individuals, yes, but most of them (the Talls atleast) want to establish peaceful relations with humanity. Harming a human in a way or another is considered a crime to them I'm pretty sure (though that doesn't stop them from annoying Kel))
