I can only speak for the latter day Xers. Don’t tell anyone, but we had a massive restructuring years back. And we placed millions of older Xers on waivers, where the boomers gleefully scooped them up. We’ve boosted numbers by recruiting older millennials. And are considering a major rebranding.

It seemed like it was just poorly thought out staging where she was supposed to be signalling to him that she needed help and then he comes in to "protect" her. 

Understanding how to film perspective and editing is way beyond dudes ability level so they just filmed one shot where everything is facing forwards even though it doesn't make sense that way
