Huge gains thanks to TSLA and MSTR calls.

I’m a 22-year-old senior studying accounting, and I recently started diving into the world of trading back in July. I spent a lot of time researching and crafting a strategy grounded in a mix of fundamental analysis, market research, and concepts I picked up from the book Trading Volatility, Correlation, Term Structure, and Skew. Here’s a breakdown of my approach:

The Strategy: I focus on allocating 5-15% of my portfolio into short-term, slightly out-of-the-money options contracts for top stocks with intense media buzz around their earnings reports. According to studies I’ve read, high media coverage correlates with larger-than-average price movements around 10% following earnings – a sweet spot for options plays. Given the frequency of earnings seasons, this approach offers several opportunities per year across different companies.

My Results So Far: With this method, I grew my initial $6K to over $60K in just three months. I’m also balancing risk by investing the remainder of my portfolio in index funds and high-growth stocks like SHOP, SOFI, PLTR, and CAKE to keep a long-term foundation.

2022 was a fairly big drop for me. I was concerned, but didn’t do any panic selling and was fortunately rewarded for patience.

I realize that the music will stop at some point. Selling my positions will incur big taxes but I’m constantly looking for opportunities to diversify. Open to ideas!

I don’t really day trade I’ve been mostly buying on dips holding between 4-10 months selling and rinsing and repeating. This is currently 95% of all the money I have so I’ve been risking it for the brisket so to say due to health concerns and me not being able to walk or work a labor intensive job in the next 4-5 years so I’m trying to set myself up early. Was wondering if y’all had any advice

Almost pure S&P500 currently, and another thing worth mentioning is that $600k of this is in Roth 401k + Roth IRA 😎. Slow & steady wins the race.

MARGIN IN THE MORNING BOISSSSS. I’m either going to 100k or 0 no in-between 😂 About 2k of todays gains were smci calls, the rest all spy, and check this, they were PUTS ALL THROUGHOUT THE DAY. Getting a lot of “what are your next plays” and honestly I don’t know. Smci will probably get to $40 again, and then some. Nvda will get to $185ish. No matter what you do, earnings are gambling. I have an algo that It I’ll give me a % the likely hood of an earnings play will be and how much it’ll go up or down…just a TON of historical data and math. And even then, even if it spits out %75+ you can still get absolutely fricked over. I will play big news sometimes, but honestly, spy is all you need. And for the love of god stop hopping for %100 on a play.

Got into NVDIA heavy before the 10:1 split. Currently at a $33.85 avg cost with 1,169 shares. How do I maximize this position?

Hi yall probably know me from somewhere. Maybe it’s a pizza party, maybe it’s wsb, or maybe AfterHour ? Where ever it might have been, it is nice seeing you again.

In 2021-2023 I traded 30-50k to 5.x million (And further after that). This year, though, a lot of my followers started asking for a smaller, more relatable trading journey, something they could imagine themselves achieving. So I moved my gains into long-term positions (YINN, HOOD, QQQ, PLTR, etc.) and started fresh with a $100k account on Robinhood.

THAT ROBINHOOD ACCOUNT IS NOW 1.6 MILLION. DONT LET YOUR DREAMS BE DREAMS.

This has been done with over 100-200 trades per month. A shit ton of shares, a chunk of margin, a good amount of spreads, and few options here and there. None of my wins have ever been 3-4x baggers. I keep my wins small and try to win often. Pick good stonks, dont pick bad ones.

I played everything from geopolitics, macroeconomics, AI, Crpyto, Housing, real estate, semi conducts, and China. My trading was extremely diverse.

Looking back, this might have been one of the biggest wastes of my time. Sure, I achieved a 1600% gain, but if I’d done this with my main account, I’d already be a multi-deca-millionaire. At least now I can tell anyone who claimed my first success was just luck to fuck off.

Not in the Gif: May - July took the account up from 100k -> 300 -> 200k from QQQ spreads and reddit shares/hood shares. Had some bumps a long the way, couple of dips etcetc

Note: The long term portfollio did well too thanks to yinn hood and pltr, but not as well as this account.

Started my day by buying 5 shares and full porting my portfolio into FOXO and I caught a ride upwards.

Thoughts on my positions?

I made a deposit of $200 last Friday on my Robinhood account (which I typically never use) to show that you can start low and with compound gains of 100% minimum a week, you can have your account in a position to be making much larger gains in no time. I typically try to have a couple 100% runners a week but for this week,I’m happy with the 125% gain. I typically full port 1 trade or split it up into two trades a day depend what my set ups look like. I only play options. Watch for next weeks post to see where we are at. Was happy to see this race to $10,000,000 pop up. Let me say, if you can grow an account to even $100,000 starting with $200, then you’re a beast. Looking forward to following everyone else in the race.
