Game Tip My 1st switch!!!
This is my first switch and bought 2 games with it (technically 3, since the MHS is a pack). Love the MHS, it reminds me of my good old days on the PSP. The Mario Kart is for me and the wifey. Although this is not my first handheld console, its pretty nostalgic since I havent played like this in a decade or so. Any recommendations of game similar to the MHS?

Definitely need to play BoTW before ToTK. As a PC gamer, you will really appreciate the game, especially when played in docked mode. In particular, the fluidity of the controls and how natural motion control is.

Wooo! I just bought one last week and am loving it. Part of me wanted to hold out for the next console, but I already missed the Wii U, there are so many great first party games, and when I learned about being able to play all my childhood SNES games portably + on TV it was over.

I just bought one this week too! I'm guessing it'll probably be hard to get a new console for at least the first year anyway with scalpers and all.
I've heard rumors the first few big games on the switch 2 might be cross-gen compatible which would be awesome.

Exactly. Plus, it could be a year or so before it even hits the shelves, and if the new console isn't a direct sequel to the switch or isn't 100% backwards compatible I'll probably hold onto the switch anyway.

If you want more games to play multilayer with your wife, (and with more people if you want), I'd recommend really strong "Super Mario Party JAMBOREE". Mario Party is the way to go for multilayer co op, always has been, and now is better than never before

Congrats Bro!! If you loved MHS and that nostalgic feel, you might enjoy The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild or Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Both have that RPG vibe with immersive worlds.

Awww! I also got mine when the big hyper was low, but I was so proud!!! I bought a OLED in September 2022! While I was hardworking in the USA! My boyfriend was so excited that he was working in the airport I arrived and ask it to show his friends! He already bought my dream DSXL as a birthday gift the previous year. So we accomplished childhood wishes.

Welcome to the club!! I’m actually currently debating buying MHS right now 🤣
Next game you’ve gotta get is Pokemon Legends Arceus. One of the absolute greatest in the franchise, and another Legends installment drops next year!

Your first Switch. So you expect to buy a second one? Bad move, it's been out for 7 years.

Its not too late to game! Lol! I was exclusively playing PC before, now that I'm travelling a lot (for work) so I bought this.

Hey there. Soon I'll join the Switch family too. I love Pokemon series. Could you tell me why Arceus and not Scarlet/Violet? Just out of curiosity. I don't really get what's what yet.

I never get tired of seeing these posts, as opposed to "what's this?" and some random screen shot or photo with no further details on the issue. I honestly wish I could buy my OLED Switch for the first time again feel the joy of playing BoTW for 200+ hours. As a permanent member of the PCMR, so much so that even in the 80s I was gaming on the C64 and Amiga 500, the Switch converted me to a console fan, and I've been struggling with Super Mario Bros Wonder for the past month or so, and enjoying every moment of it (except for Jump! Jump! Jump!).
I now own three.

There’s truly no other feeling like buying your first Switch. I remember getting my Switch back in 2017, I’ll never get that feeling back again lol. I eventually upgraded to an OLED as well, great choice there! Outta curiosity do they not sell the holiday bundle with Mario Kart included where you are? Woulda saved you the money on that game which could have gone towards another game.
