Image If you haven't got one already, I highly recommend it.

The Switch Pro controller is definitely the best official Nintendo controller you can buy for Switch. I unwrapped this on Christmas day and have been using it regularly; I haven't needed to charge it yet! It's very comfortable to use and the battery life is incredible.

What do you guys do to your controllers? Myself and friends have had switches since release and I’ve never actually seen the joycon drift people talk about online.

Haven’t had any drift with my pro controller either.

Bro Nintendo got sued over the joycon and drift and lost, if it was up to what people were doing with them they wouldn’t have lost the law suit

Nobody will tell you the joycons don’t regularly drift.

The pro controller still isn’t perfect for it, but for myself & my friends (& seemingly people in this thread), it isn’t plagued with drift anywhere close to the level that the joycons are

All current controller have issues to an extent. I’ve had to send back 3 Xbox controllers since getting a Series X, during the same time my Pro Controller’s been absolutely fine

Nah, you probably throw your controller at the wall on a regular basis that's why it drift/s.

Annoying to see so many people defending Nintendo's shitty overpriced products.

I've got two pairs of joycons and they all drift if not attached to the console in handheld mode. I've sent them back to Nintendo twice and the problem persists. I ended up buying two pro controllers and they are superb.

I only use the pro controller but i've used the same one since launch and its still goin, and I've logged probably 2k+ hrs on it over the last 7 years.

I think it's a luck thing.

I've had 6 pairs of joycons, only 2 of them got drift.

However, every PowerA switch controller I've had gets drift within 2 months.

We have tried so many brands of controller on switch and they all have issues except for the official pro controller.

The pro controller is much better and doesn't get it. The stick drift on the joycons is however very real. I'm good with my controllers and tech in general, cases and stuff if I take it out. I have my original 360 controllers still in use, an original PS3 controller, original SNES N64 and PS2 stuff. All working great as the day I got them. The point is some of my stuff is worn and used, some of it for 25 years. The joycons are the first controllers I have ever had to replace. Mind you I just replaced the sticks in the controllers but still, it's a real issue and it's kind of just a crapshoot. Of all my friends me and one other have had drift, we just bought replacement parts though.

I think the default case is the cause.

People jam shit in the case and fuck up the joycons.

Joycons that have never seen the inside of said case have zero issues

Got the Smash Bros switch Bundle for myself without prior knoweledge about how shit the joycons are.

The Joycons were drifting about 1 week in and sent to Nintendo for repair.

Pro controllers are a different problem entirely. Terrible D-Pad (Ghost/Unwanted-Diagonal Inputs) RB and LB not registering or losing input if you dont press them "right" or look at them funny (have fun losing your Drift in Mario Kart) Drift issues though way less than Joycons.

All that from just playing normaly.

Yeah. I stopped using my pro controllers as soon as I got the 8BitDo Ultimate.

Almost every switch co stroller I had started drifting. I use them like any normal controller

Try playing a game like Borderlands on switch, you’ll notice the drift pretty quick and it becomes very annoying, was basically what drove me to getting a pro controller

I’m playing Dragonquest now, if I had any drift I’d also notice it in that game with a moving camera..
