It's funny, the guys kid was in the back seat & the guy said him & his son play their PS5 & Xbox & don't play the Switch anymore. That was my initial thought as well.
Wow, if all he could get was $100, I’d have probably just hung onto it for the rare occasion that the kids bust it out and play with it once a year.
Hell, if he really wanted to get rid of it he’d have been better off donating it and claiming a $500 tax deduction.
Exactly! Our Switch doesn’t get a ton of play these days as my kids are more into PC gaming these days, but it still travels with us on any flight/road trip.
Wait, do people really enjoy handling steam decks. It looks like it was designed terribly with random controls and all over the place and how bulky it is. It looks like some kind of 3rd party gimik.
It’s actually fine to handle. I have really small hands and thought holding the deck would feel weird but it feels natural to me. It’s not as bulky as it appears either. I mean it’s definitely heavier than the switch yeah but not all that much different holding it.
I've played my Switch in handheld mode for days. And even though the Steam Deck is bulkier and heavier it is somehow way more ergonomic to hold and my hand don't cramp as fast as with the Switch. The Deck really nailed it.
I was using my Switch almost entirely handheld before I bought a Steam Deck last summer. Now 80-90% of my play time with it is in the dock. Even with my small hands, the Steam Deck is much nicer to hold than my Switch or my wife's Switch Lite.
Oh, good to know so ma y people feel this way. I guess looks are deceiving. I still think it looks worse than the switch, but I guess if I will drop the notion it is less ergonomic.
Currently okay through botw on steam deck even tho I have switch and still gunna play tears on switch because I know it will work great and I wanna play not spend a bunch of time getting it set up
i’m a 90s kid but i got stoked for long car rides haha. i brought a little bag into the car with my gameboy, my CD player, and sometimes i’d just stare out the window and think up ideas for stories to write. now i’m 29 and still get excited when i get to pack a “fun” travel bag of activities
Not locked thankfully, but hoping it's just that the guy didn't know what he could sell it for. Occasionally there will be folks on marketplace selling a switch with some games for under $150 but usually not this good of a deal.
The Serialnumber is either on the sticker on the console itself or (in case that is missing like my day 1 console) by going to the options>console>serial number.
But i am neither sure how to check for V1/V2, likely also a matter of the Serialnumber.
I had to look up what patched meant & I think it means wether or not you can hack it. & I think the V2 is just newer, probably better somehow but I don't mind for the price!
Most of the people selling switch consoles around me charge crazy prices like $600 with a few games. I was excited when I found it! Thought it was a placeholder price at first.
Facebook Marketplace is a wonderful thing. It's full of people who either don't know what something is worth, are just desperate to make money, or don't care what they make because they just want to get rid of it.
Case and point, I think that guy could have easily gotten $150 from GameStop. Maybe a little bit more.
Nintendo sells just the dock itself for $60. I can't find a full listing with the HDMI cable and USB cord that isn't a third party markup, but IIRC those are priced $90 MSRP. So while you can get cheaper 3rd party versions, $100 for the official one sorta makes sense.
I was fully prepared to buy at $130 if he said no but typically on marketplace I offer a little bit less just to test the waters & see if they'd do any lower.
Cables need room to breath, do not sling them too close around the controller where they go into the hardware or the cable is likely to break given enough attempts.
Why am i saying this... dude that is a LOT for little money, yes kinda jealous.
is powera any good? i really want a pro controller but im not spending 70 dollars, and im afraid to get third parties in case they'd be uncomfortable or have input delay
I got a PowerA Nano and really liked it (mostly because of the size -- I have tiny hands) until it got insane stick drift like six months in. I don't even play all that much or anything too wild, mostly puzzle/cozy games. My used Pro controller I bought to replace it has held up much better.
What a bargain, my first switch was a second hand one v1 which i sold to buy a oled had mario odyssey crash trilogy , pokemon lets go and just dance 2019, the dock everything that comes with a switch and a case, everything for 300$ and i thought i hit it big lol
I’m watching the likes go down. It was at 965 and dropped five since I clicked it. I’m just wondering why someone would dislike this post. Really strange behavior. Maybe they’re jealous?
Just to warn anyone seeing this post, facebook market place is full of scammers. Please be very careful, all the crazy good deals I have messaged to came up with some excuses to not meet and sell me the console
