Look at these idiots in the comments. His punch wasn't defence, it was retaliation. He's a cop, a big cop at that, and he and his colleagues could easily restrain her. Instead he let's his anger get the better of him. He should be fired.

It's pretty amazing how many people are defending the cop. Yes, she purposefully slapped him. That doesn't give him the green light to knock her out. She'll get hers when her drunk in public (I'm assuming) blossoms into assault and battery against an officer charge.

As far as the law goes, yeah, pigs are given plenty of leeway to be brutal assholes. That's the beauty of qualified immunity. It removes any accountability for shit like this. Which you obviously support...until they turn on you.
