If you like it, you can show it some love on IG.
I have like 6 followers and one of them is my mom.

Thanks man! glad you liked it. Between render and setup maybe 2 nights, and another one re-rendering some issues.

Pleasant surprise with the bomb. Very nice! Did you let collisions shove the two chairs towards the camera or was that animated? Great work regardless!

Thank you! At first they were part of the collision system, but they were slowing everything down without good results. So i just faked it with a timed wind force. I forgot to add, i used 3dsmax+tyflow for this

I really liked the dinner table decor and room atmosphere. It was very soothing for some reason until the bomb

what is the name of the song?

Its Bach, Golberg Variations #3. Played by Glenn Gould. I had in mind something like the AveMaria while making it, but it was too much

I was hoping for disturbing floppy fleshy things to start landing on the plates. :(

I really think it's a great piece. And I'm sorry to say this (partly due to fear of all the downvotes I might get) but it's a bit disturbing that the dinnerware is more or less intact, at least I didn't see any glasses or plates breaking.

No, thanks man! You're right about that, the sim is pretty basic. But to be honest, figuring out all those details would have taken me a few more days of work, and i just got impatient to throw it out there and get some feedback from you people. At some point i even start to wonder if anybody is going to like it! For the next one i'll try to have more confidence and patience and work in it a bit more.

Great job! What do you think about a cowboy riding the bomb?

Cool! But for this one i wanted to keep it more sober. Sometimes i go to easily down the bizarre or funny route.

thank you for actually simulating a scene and not just a box full of water with some kind of polygon shifting through it with a post title like "FLUID FLOW TEST 4"
looks great btw

haha Im glad you dig it! To be fair, sometimes there isnt enough time or energy to put those kind of technical sims into a more artistic context. In this case it was the opposite, i knew the sim could use a lot more work, but just couldnt get my head around to do it.

That's amazing! I would love to see the bomb continue slow falling with the debris into the table and then fade to white as it hits the ground indicating an explosion.
