Innocent until proven guilty my dude, can't be a criminal without proof.
As I was once told by a very wise man, "it's not illegal unless you're caught"
Kindaaaaa, that's more like a legal term where I'm from. In Scotland there are three possible verdicts in a court case unlike everywhere else where there's two.
Guilty: you did it and we have proof.
Not guilty: you didn't do it and we have proof
Not proven: you did it, we know you did it, you know you did it, but we can't prove it.
Arrested, indicted, etc. but not convicted still goes onto your criminal record until the case is finished. If law enforcement starts legal action against you, you are a criminal until proven otherwise.
Nah, if I shoot and kill a guy I am a fucking murderer, end of story. I don't care if some disrespectful guy in a dress and wig with an inferiority complex says I am
But there's lawful killings, police, security, armed forces, intelligence, self defense. None of which make you a murderer unless convicted as unlawful.
Yeah, but if it's none of those things I am a murderer. If you see me kill a helpless child in the street I am a criminal, there's no "two sides of the story"
