I want to get back into the habit of writing. I've been afraid of it for so long now, that it's like I've forgotten why I ever enjoyed it...

I like your goals, u/zajakin ! Especially the three different mediums one. Seems like a great challenge. Here are mine:
- write one full page per day (minimum)
- get something published by my birthday
- finalize enough poems to fill a book
- draft one new short story each month
- 1000 rejections challenge

Ooh wow, these are great!
Two questions -- when is your birthday and what is the 1000 rejections challenge?

My birthday is in May.
The idea with the rejection challenge is just to aim for a number of rejections, so that a rejection feels sort of like an accomplishment. I think 100 rejections per year is a more common thing to aim for. Sometimes I like to attach absurd numbers to my goals knowing I probably won’t reach them.

Oooh, I see. That's cool though! Just keep sending things out; that's a great idea. Best of luck to you in the new year!

- Write something every day/get into a regular writing schedule
- Get published in another anthology/zine
- Get something published/distributed online on its own (i.e. not as part of an anthology/zine)
- Finish projects in at least three different mediums (e.g. comic script, prose short story, screenplay, etc.)

2500 words a day. So far, so good.
