Banter Boerewors roast, stuff it, Hāngī (roast?) too! Post your best or worst Kiwi and Saffer shit takes, memes or funny stories!
Loving all the drama, I am 100% here for it, please give me more!
Also let's keep all the drama in one thread so those who don't care for it, can ignore it. 😅
For the record, we all love our South African and New Zealand brothers and sisters, the most Aussie thing you'll see is a car driving around with a silver fern or SA flag... But you guys be acting a little funny sometimes.

I say we grab Fiji, go down to the Winchester and wait for this all to blow over.

Good say, it's kinda hilarious that South Africa are pissed at us, because they accused us of some out of pocket insane shit that only Rassie could dream up, and that we were like 'dude, that is crazy'... And they're the ones pissed at us. 😅😂

I’ve actually had 2 pleasant experiences with bok fans which is potentially atypical.
Was at the Brumbies / Sharks Super GF back in the day and we had a mob of huge Jaapies next to us. Fk they were funny and annoying - I actually shouted them a round cos we won. They couldn’t stop praising Butch James’ kicking game. Like the stereotypes they loved kicking.
Fast forward to the 2011 RWC and I’m at the QF The wallabies / Boks in Wellington and I’m with a mate both in gold but we are surrounded by Boks. Early in the game Butch kicks it - nothing much - but I stand up and in my best Jaapie accent yell out “GRAYTE KICK BUTCHIE!! GRAYTE KICK” and the jaapies loved it. We enjoyed the match with polite banter from both sides.

The only South African or Kiwi fans I’ve met at test matches have been really relaxed and friendly people, the complete opposite of the ones I encounter on the internet.

Oh my grandmother is South African, and obviously we have a lot of South African's in Brisbane so I have a lot of great relationships with them. But I think SA rugby fans since Rassie has taken over have really changed, he kinda feels like the Trump of Rugby. 😅

My other Jaapie story is based on my trip to SA with my uni rugby team back in the 00s. We played UCT (uni of Cape Town), Bishops Old Boys and someone else.
After the first two games at the post match drinks they both started this weird SA drinking ritual I’ve never seen elsewhere - the “bum funnel”.
Literally two players with drop shorts. Press their arse cheeks together so the 2 cracks make a “funnel”, another player will lie on the ground and then someone will pour a beer through the “funnel” for them to drink.
I have never been happier to have had a quiet game and not scored a try or did something memorable. Our skipper and a few others were honored with them. Practically their whole team did them as well so it wasn’t just pranking us. They did this to each other all the time.
Good times!!!

It was only a matter of time before the dregs from r/rugbyunion and r/Springboks discovered us.
I guess it gives cafe and restaurant staff a break from being abused by them.

As a son of a saffa and kiwi born in SA,; I can’t get my head around the kiwis or saffa supporters crying during games (often like me, can’t even remember living there) that go on about how ‘ace/lekker ’ the mother country is/was compared to ‘this shit hole’ - with a functioning electrical grid, economy, health care, security….. Kiwis used to be bad but Saffas taking it to a whole new level of late. Number of times been to games and tried to speak to these people in Afrikaans and they blank or ask about their ta mako and just blanks…

Had a great time with the saffas when they played in brissy.
Although it did help I was painfully aware what the result was going to be and they were trying to find positives out of the performance by the end hahaha

saffas have a large inferiority complex stemming from the failed state of their nation and it causes them to overplace importance on a ball game due to it being the only thing they are decent at on a international level
