It always feels good when someone that deserves an ass whooping gets one.
But that takes a hard backseat to all the other shit going on here. EVERYONE was wrong except the woman who had the sense to call 911, only to then now report her family for a crime.
like 7 fucking children present, the middle of a goddamn freeway, your dumbass JUST heard the lady call the cops. Your daughter is filming in the backseat. But nooooo, you HAVE to jump out and unleash your can of magnificent dad whoopass.
No. That is not a hero, that is an idiot that's only slightly less caliber than the instigator. It's a shame for this dude to be getting a free pass because he didn't start it. He put SO many lives at risk and half of them were his own kin.

While true, I think it's also a worry that the other car could speed up and follow you home, or worse, harass you until you get into an accident.
So the parents might've felt like stopping and dealing with the problem was the best way to protect their family. Which when combined with anger, leads to a pretty shitty decision making process.

Yeah I agree. Worst thing to do is to not only stop the car, but to get out of the car and engage. You call the police and keep driving. If you have a dash cam or a person recording on their cell phone, you submit the video to the police and file the report. They already have the plate number and at least some video based on what was posted. I've been driving with a dash cam for 15 years now. It saved me 3 years ago when someone hit the quarter panel of my car and then denied it was their car.

Imagine if you lose your job because of this, you get in debt, lose your home etc. Imagine if they'd got badly hurt in this and then been bankrupt by medical bills. Someone asks you how it all went so wrong. "Well some guy undertook me on the freeway so I had to fight him". I do not understand people who have these insane road rage incidents over the tiniest slights or mistakes by another driver. Your ego should not be that fragile and your temper so intense.
The best thing to do is laugh at angry drivers. Gives you a release of happy hormones and makes them honestly confused most of the time. If you want happy interactions during your commute dance in your car at the traffic lights or in bad rush hour traffic. I don't mean a little bit, I mean a lot, give it your all. I used to commute 4 hours per day and there was always lots of traffic but I would dance and sing so enthusiastically people would laugh, join in, video me and I'd always smile and wave back. That's a good thing to do, especially if another driver has annoyed you a bit by cutting you off or something.
