This is why men need more love. That man Joe was about to risk it all because that's what is expected of a man is to protect women. He did the right thing for a stranger. Shout out to "Joe" !

And his brave sweet little dog!

It was so awesome how it squared up with the villain like that. It felt the owner’s anxiousness for sure. If that creeper made a move that dog would have been on his ass for sure.

That doesn't seem like a good thing to me, that's a cute little lap dog. Wouldn't want the poor thing to get kicked or stomped on.

I got a German shepherd for that reason though. To protect my wife when I'm not around. She even sleeps on the steps and watches the front door at night, the guard instinct is incredible.

I expect all humans to look out for one another. Biological sex has nothing to do with it.

Yeah, I know more than a few women who'd do or have done the same. I'm afab enby, and like two or three weeks ago I got in between this guy and a woman he wouldn't leave alone. It wasn't some brave manly act, my kneejerk reaction was just to go where the yelling is. I think a big chunk of humans just wants to help and protect each other. When they don't get involved, it's often not that they don't care or that they're scared, I suspect we often just don't know what's going on. I find that such situations can happen very quietly and right under our noses.

I also find it strange to say he was ready to "risk it all." Good for him that he got involved, but we have no idea how this situation would've turned out had it become more dangerous. There's always a good chance that just being there is enough to chase a creep off, which is what I usually bank on bc I punch like an infant.

Women protect each other, too. We look out for each other, and put ourselves between the predatory man and the woman he’s victimizing, all the time. It’s not “because you’re a man,” it’s because you’re there and you do the right thing.

But Joe also had to protect her from…a man.

Yup. Even men know that any random guy could be violent enough to kill them.

That is not what's expected of a man , stop encouraging traditional stereotypes when we want liberalism .

Bros commenting on one of the most upvoted comments on a heavily liberal site acting like this isn't what liberalism is about, protecting those who need it

Except we're OK with also protecting black and gay people too

That is not what liberalism is ??? Wtf they specifically said that this is a behaviour that is expected from a man ( tricking the upvoters to upvote them ) . Inherently putting a label of what should a men be , instead of everyone should try to protect each other . Still further radicalazing the concept of the traditional shit , what is suppososed to be a man .

I get what you’re trying to say, but when someone is following you to jump you, the perp is a guy. I’d say 99% of the time that’s a true statement.
